Can I just make perfectly clear that this situation does NOT apply to me so please don't be worried about me ;)

Recently, I've been wondering about suicide, where you go? Heaven or hell? Even if you've been saved? I know God loves us and forgives us but surely we would have broken one of His rules.

I don't feel that I can talk to my friends about it as they might get the wrong idea, but I'd like it to be discussed as I am interested in your views. As it is a topic that is talked about a lot at the moment with self harm etc I personally think it's important. Thanks

Those who claim you don't get to go to Paradise after you die if you commit suicide think that murder is the only unforgiveable sin. Others say that you don't get to repent of the sin before you die. So to them it's somehow not covered by the blood of Jesus. But there is only one unforgivable sin and that is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit - not suicide, and the Bible is clear that Christ's sacrifice was needed only once to forgive all sins for all time. Still of course I wouldn't recommend it. It's neither the greatest testimony to send others, nor a very godly thing to do to the body you've been given. But it's not going to damn your soul. Not as long as your faith is in the Gospel.

committing suicide is a sin.if you are in some adverse condition its better to give yourself to God.i have gone to the point of suicide and God lifted me up by His Spirit. It was supernatural..
suicide takes a person to damnation...

Its not ok.It's a terrible sin,and violation against God's Right to take the life He gave that He only has the right to take back.

Anyone who says suicide damns your soul has to arrive at that conclusion through deductive reasoning, because the Bible never claims that. And such reasoning that leads them to this conclusion always misses the mark. Let's look at suicide for what it is - not manufacture extraneous reasons in an attempt to keep people from doing it.

1. It is a crime against God's creation.
2. It is disrespect of God's image.
3. It is horrible testimony to other Christians and to the world.
4. It is nearsighted.
5. It is a dereliction of duty.

That's true nowhere is it specifically mentioned but certainly implied. A slow suicide by the overwhelming methods people use today overindulgences of slower then a speeding well let's stop there speeding is a slow suicide. As is smoking drinking abuse and addictions. Stress worry and hate and anger just a few of the many slower forms of suicide of which most are guilty. Thank God we have a way out of this as Paul said who will rescue us from us His son Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ

Suicide is not a solution. God is the only solution for your/our problem. As the Bible says, "God will never leave you nor forsake you"

Jesus Christ died for all sin, past, present, and future. If you have accepted him as your personal Lord and Savior, even if you commit suicide you will go to heaven.

I wouldn't worry talking about suicide to your friends. Honestly I've been there and everyone really just thinks its a joke. No one believes you're that depressed until you actually jump from a building or something so they won't think you're crazy. People don't want to deal with people who are dealing with pain that they can't fix so they want to believe that you're ok.

Nicely put. Unfortunately those who seem to closely understand are the people who've been down that path as well. * Which speaking of, there's one person that someone has recommended to me and I've seen before named Nick Vuijcic (probably spelled his last name wrong, which I usually do, haha). He's a Christian and understands where people are coming from when they want to give up.

Suicide isn't promoted but I don't think we should say who's in heaven or hell for it due to the actions they took. There's various reasons why people have done it to begin with even if it doesn't justify it.
