Sweetheart, I'm right there with ya!
I have ONE friend who is all about God. All the others say they are Christians but then they turn around and act just like the world.
Don't get me wrong I do love them all but I understand it's hard to live without good Christian friends to help build you up.
On top of that even the teens at church seem to not really care half the time (I'm not saying all of them) and when you have to be around that it's hard.
Hopefully some day soon more people our age will start to take the faith more seriously and become full time Christians and not "Sunday Christians."
I love them all too! My youth group is my family!! Which is why it bothers me sooo much! And that didn't offend me at all! I do the same thing! haha :)

From an old 'un: my wife and I would tend to say that prayer and the Scriptures every day are a great foundation, and essential. If we major on such big things for every day, the Lord can and will guide you in the other details.
Oh yes!! I have found that when I spend the most time in my Bible and talking to God the easier it becomes to think like I should and act like I should! :)

Yes, prayer and God's Word are the vital breath and reality of the believer in the Lord Jesus. It says of the disciples that the people 'took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus' (Acts 4.13).

Blessings.

Yup that's how I feel. The youth group is more family to me than my real family. But they seem more serious about the faith when we are out helping others than they do at church.. Its kinda weird.
Anyway I hope you find some good friends that are just as fired up as you.

This is just a thought but if your youth group is anything like mine I'd try to start a bible study group outside of church. Go to park or zoo or somewhere like that. You'd be surprised how much of a difference it makes. It helps them get more fired up. At least it worked for mine. :)

Yes it is very very precious and beautiful ^-^
1 John ch.s 1 & 2:

"If we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another". "Truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ".

Me and my best friend have tried multiple times to do so, but no one is ever interested.

Yes, the more we center in the Word, the better.

Well, what you can do is just make sure that you and your friend have really precious times of fellowship in the Word, keeping up the Bible study prayerfully. For my wife and me, prayer and the Scriptures has to be a daily thing; we can't imagine life without them. Blessings.

I had that problem too. It took 3 years but they finally gave in.
Have you tried an online group?

You shouldn't speak so ill of your peers, guys. We're in an age of babying where grown young adults (teens) are still seen as brats. When you've always been treated as a child, you tend to act like one. I don't think the problem is that they have no interest in God, but more that they're too immature to comprehend what's important the way that you do with your clear sight (God given, mind you). With that said, I emphasize the importance of all of us stepping up to try and show them what's important. If not us, then who?

I'm in no way speaking ill of them (or at least meaning to). And I agree we should be the ones to show them, and that's exactly what I'm trying to do. Sometimes I just feel a bit discouraged!
