Grr... You'll regret passing judgement on so many others.[/QUOTE]

I didn't pass any judgements, I just made observations. Aside from that, I commend your zeal at your age. I have a project for you if you want to enrich your knowledge. Do some research on Constantine, the Jesuits, Occult symbolism and Vatican, as well check out sun god worship. You might be surprised at what you find.

Catholicism is a form of Christianity.
erm not really, that just another way of saying there is another road to heaven... If you look at catholics thoroughly, you can clearly see their beliefs are consisting of works than a Christian is by faith.

I'm worried about my mom and sister because they support gay marriage and I am trying to change because I don't want to sin against God. I don't think they will change their mind because my sister has written 3 books about LGBT characters and they got married. My sister supports it a lot and my mom supports it too. I read an article that said that 52 percent of Catholics in America supported gay rights in states, will they be saved? 52 percent if God's children?! My family is Catholic so idk what to think. Can my family plus the 52 percent if Amercians be saved even though we don't repent or turn away from that sin?

Dont worry about others,
remain true to God

the LGBT movement is designed by the enemy to tick off

just stay away
love them
dont talk about the issue
dont tell people what you feel just suppress all hate.
and pray all the time

when they see your good helpful life and faithful to the bible then they will see, they were wrong.

to force anybody against the truth is from the enemy
that is what LGBT is all about
force hate and attack of anyone that is not like themm
God will eliminate the ones that are hardened in sin and that is called the day of the Lord

read your bible
amos zechariah habbakkuk it takes maybe a couple hours to read what is going to happen

always hope that your family are the good ones they likely are they are just confused
change topic
always say something else like

Say, is there anything I can do?
does the garage need cleaning?
like that.be useful and dont talk about it why

see PAUL SAYS

christinas have to obey and god will do the rest let his angels work

ph 5:5 For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
Eph 5:6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
Eph 5:7 Be not ye therefore partakers with them.
Eph 5:8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:
Eph 5:9 (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)
Eph 5:10 Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.
Eph 5:11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
Eph 5:12 For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.
Eph 5:13 But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.
Eph 5:14 Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.
Eph 5:15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
Eph 5:16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
Eph 5:17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
Eph 5:18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;
Eph 5:19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
Eph 5:20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;

so when you speak
only speak of the good things of Jesus thats it
and God bless you

First, I just want to say that you should ask your youth pastor or an adult you trust to fully explain the Truths in the Bible to you. While it is helpful to gather opinions from this site, you're not going to get a consensual response from any group of people here. You should speak with someone whom is experienced and knows what they are talking about.

However, this is my view. I was a member of the Catholic Church for 15 years. I grew up going to a Catholic grade school, attending church on the weekends with my family, going to youth group, etc. To be honest, I despised Catholic Church. I thought it was horrible to the nth degree. So I switched to a different church (exactly what you decided to do). As I moved to a different (pentecostal) church, I was able to view the Catholic Church externally and I was able to analyze everything that was heretical in it. However, even though I don't agree with Catholicism at all, it is important to understand this fact: While Catholicism and Christianity are two different religions, all Catholics are still Christians because a Christian is someone who follows Jesus Christ. (Can you say duh?) But no Christian is Catholic. (For Christians wishing to enter the Catholic Church, it is an insanely time-consuming and profoundly boring ordeal, which, in my opinion, limits the time you get to spend actually building a relationship with Jesus.) Anyway, no offense to Catholics anywhere, but all I saw in my time in the church was people pretending to have a relationship with God. I'm not saying that no Catholic actually spends time with God, but the majority of Catholics don't (and most people that claim to be Christian don't either, so I'm not trying to attack the Catholic church, just make an observation…and my bias is based on the fact that I have seen more love for God in the 100 people in my Christian youth group when I switched churches than the entirety of the 1,500 people at my Catholic high school. Hm, interesting).

This one is for you Witness45: Catholics recognize the validity of being saved by faith, but they believe that faith, in conjunction with works, is the key to salvation. Yes, it's true! God saves us because of our faith in Him, not because of our righteousness! Titus 3:4-5, "When God our Savior revealed his kindness and love, He saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy." BUT Titus 3:8, "…and I want you to insist on these teachings so that all who trust in God will devote themselves to doing good." AND Romans 3:31, "Well then, if we emphasize faith, does this mean that we can forget about the law? Of course not! In fact, only when we have faith do we truly fulfill the law." AND Romans 2:6, "He will judge everyone according to what they have done. He will give eternal life to those who keep on doing good, seeing after the glory and honor and immortality that God offers. But He will pour out His anger and wrath on those who live for themselves, who refuse to obey the truth and instead live the lives of wickedness. There will be trouble and calamity for everyone who keeps on doing what is evil…But there will be glory and honor and peace from God for all who do good…" Wait a minute…so works are important?! Absolutely! Romans 3:31 literally says that your faith in God determines your actions. So that means….works are kinda like a byproduct of faith. If you have truth faith in Jesus Christ and His glory, you're gonna do things to show it. True Catholics get that (and that's where their belief in the importance of works comes from). As said in the Bible, works alone won't save you; faith is intrinsic to salvation and how you show the faith you have is how God will judge you at the end of your life. And you don't get to claim, "Oh, I'm Christian, and I have faith and Jesus Christ" as your ticket to salvation. It's because you have faith in God that you get up early on Saturdays and go help the poor. It's because you have faith in God that you relentlessly pray for the prosperity of others. It's because you have faith in God that you give generously, love unconditionally, and hope eternally. God doesn't save you because you merely say you have faith in Him, He saves you because you spend every moment of your life proving that you do. Believe in the power of actions, my friends. They speak louder than words!

Okay Danielle, to finally answer your question! The Catholic Church itself is against gay marriage. But, yes, you're right…sometimes the members of a particular (and I hate to say the word religion, but..) religion do not agree with some of their church's teachings. Many Catholics and many Christians have quibbles with some of the beliefs of the church. Honestly in my opinion, I believe gay marriage is just about the stupidest thing we worry about, what with all the violence, poverty, and evils that are present in the world today. But I think that your love for your family and your concern for them is exceptionally caring and I admire that! In my opinion (and this is strictly my opinion, you really should get your pastor's interpretation), I am not the person who is going to go march in a Gay Pride Parade and support it, but I am NOT going to shame others for their decisions or look upon them in anyway other than with love. What most people today in the Christian church don't understand is that exclusion of any group of people is discrimination, and targeting a group of people for their lifestyle (regardless of what lifestyle that may be) is a sin on you. People need to understand that they play NO part in the decision-making of any other human and they should worry less about their other peoples' decisions and worry more about how to show Christ to others. Even though homosexuality/homosexual things is wrong in terms of the Bible, you have to show people love (who cares if the person is gay? It's the second greatest commandment, people!!). Show your mother and sister love, even through their decision to support gay marriage, and then carefully explain to them the Truths in the Bible and why their support isn't okay in the Catholic Church, and then maybe have a priest talk this through with them. That's my best advice. (And as far as I'm concerned, I believe our God is a merciful God, and He will look more on the wonderful life you lived with your faith in Jesus Christ rather than your mistakes, your mishaps, and your failures.) Believe in your heart the goodness of God and rely in your spirit in His provisions for your life (and your family's lives).

This concludes my rant. God Bless all!

You guys!! I think people can tell by themselves in their soul if they are at peace with god. May I also remind some of you that we are ALL with sin, and to them gay people-supporters, stop trying to justify sin. Stealing is sin, lyin fornicatin, soddomy, envy etc.
And its up too god to comdemn people.
Don't matter what church you go too. By the way, churches are built and lead by people, so don't expect to get right with god by trying to please "the folks at church" or "the pastor said" or "having the right doctrine foundation"
Do you really think that when your dead and go to heaven, god looks at you and says: "ahaaa, he supported gay people, and he went to the wrong church, SEND HIM DOWN TOO BURN"
If that's what god would be like I think i'd rather.......
Don't think so.
My God is a god of love and grace and forgiveness who loves us so much that he died for us.
So it's up to everyone to accept god's grace for themselves each one individually. Keep other people's misinterpretation's out of YOUR personal relationship with Christ!

People go to hell for rejecting Christ and not being born again, not for what they are misguided into thinking is right or wrong. Holy Spirit convicts people and deals with it.

Our Father hates homosexuality, as it is an abomination. I don't think he would like someone to support what He doesn't like. That 52% is supporting what they think is right on earth, but not what is right is 'el's (God's) eyes. If He doesn't approve of it, He won't accept those people.

once i had much zeal for the kingdom, and now i feel at a standstill in works.

i hope i live long enough to complete some greater works, because i know Christ saved me by nothing i did, except believing in him...

Catholics need to think like this too. we all need to think like this or better, lets get to work and impact the world because life is short, and they need Jesus.

My advice Danielle is to pray for your family that perhaps God will remove the scales from their eyes, so to speak. You've made the right decision in aligning yourself with God on this issue and can continue forward with your own life seeking God's holiness and love (they go together something that's not remembered by 52% of the people anymore).
