I was talking to my mom about repenting and she said she she doesn't repent while praying but rather she said when she does something wrong and is sorry, God knows she's sorry. I'm unclear whether or not she asks God in her head for forgiveness or not, but still, does God knowing she is sorry and feels bad for her sin(s) count as repentance? Has God forgiven her?

I'm not real sure on this, but I would think you would have to come to God and ask for forgiveness in your prayers. The Bible mentions ask and you will receive. Yes, God knows her heart but she did not ask God to forgive therefore I don't think so.

Repentance requires that you turn from what you're doing. You settle it with God, and then you go forward in life, doing your best to fix what you did wrong,..Doing your best not to do that any longer.

If she has stopped the behavior that required repenting, then I'd say yes, But it always matters where her Heart is at. If she truly loves God more than anything thing else. And that's something that only God can know.

Yes, repentance involves a mind to turn from, as well as sorrow for, sin.

Blessings.

God i our creator
He made us
He made our desires
Everything is a gift
If you have no desire, just ask for the desire
then read the bible on love of GOd and in Luke how Jesus treated people
wouldnt you go to him if he was walking here?
He is

Answer:
Pray when you get up
tell him you dont have a good relationship with him but you want one
Tell him you like doing wrong, but you want to change so ASK for repentance he always gives you this prayer
Tell him yo dont know how to talk to people please give me that ability he will

anything you pry about to REMOVE your faults and your sin will ALWAYS AALWAYS ALWAYS be answered

anything that is selfish and would hurt you (a million dollars) he will not give
santaclaus prayers are WANTS and DESIRES that would make you awful characcter he wont give you that.

God gives you trials so you turn to him
the faster you turn to him the faster the trial is over!
We should pray all the time

driving
Ok JEsus my savior I love you you know that?
Im such a fool
help me to be quiet
you know when I spoke to chrissy I was short... Help me not to do that.
should I tell her im sorry?
yes?
ok ill call her
oh i missed that turn
can you fix my brain JEsus make it more focused so I can be agood girl
thank you
heres a song I made up for you
(sing it)
did you like it?
yes?
ok I have another...
(When you ask him if he likes a songm his answer always is YES)
he loves you to sing to him

as your day progressess....

walking in to work

Ok Im going in, Jesus, come with me
help me to watch my mouth
I know im going to get in trouble
help me hemp me help me...
(suddenly the person that was GOING to great you that is trouble gets a phone call and you walk by
(THANK you Jesus you are awesome. Father, give me words to speak...

and so it goes
continual prayer
you dont kneel or fold hands in constant prayer youd never work

but at home in evening worship always KNEEL and pray and you will be filled with the spirit of peace.

thats how it goes

pray ALWAYS about EVERYTHING

I think she's referring to the following:

Psalm 51:17 My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise.

Repentance doesn't have to be verbal. In fact the best way to show repentance is in one's actions - to try hard to do better when you've done wrong. I think repentance is about a change in the direction of one's life. It's not about being perfect, but about rejecting sin as acceptable and fighting its influences in our lives.

Psalm 51 is a very searching Psalm.

Yeah, Like we've said. Its all about the heart. What its main goal and desire is.

Its a little hard to tell where that is for another person. Pray about it dear. :)

D., that is a very interesting q. What is your underlying concern here, that motivates this q of yours? As I understand your q, I see you asking if your mom is forgiven by God, if she doesn't repent out loud to God?
