Should Christians debate or not at all? Personally i think we should show more love and encouragement instead of arguing with one another. There are times where we have to speak up and stuff but i don't know about debating, because it might lead to anger and hatred etc.

I think an honest question, and then a bit of discussion or Bible study to figure it out, and find the truth, is alright.

But when it all becomes about who is correct, and who is wrong,..then you've lost sight of your love, and your desire to grow and learn.

But that's just how I feel.

An argument can still be done in love and can help point others to Christ. It really depends on the heart of the people debating more than the action itself. It is also important that before one goes out trying to pick debates that he or she has a good understanding of God's Word and has read it his/herself before attempting to debate. Otherwise it can become easy to be distracted or allured by fancy words away from the Bible and it's validity.

  • To defend the gospel, the truth Philippians 1:17, Proverbs 25:9
