For those of you who think that christian rock is considered bad or some even consider it "devil music", sorry but i think thats wrong. I hear so many people saying having instruments in church and having happy, dancy music is a sin. Excuse me, but, look at David. He danced in the streaks almost naked and sang so loud with instruments and dancing. And God LOVED David.
David's wife made fun of David and cursed her for judging David. So i'm sure God isn't happy about those who judge any christian song that isn't considered a hymn.
So if the lyrics are about God, then what's wrong with it? Who cares about the background music? At least it's glorifying God!! The lyrics are to and about God so therefore there's nothing wrong. But i guess people are entitled to their own opinions. But let me tell you, you're missing out on some great music.

Personally I think the devil doesn't enjoy music at all. ;)

:). One more reason why we should be careful about the music we listen, not only the lyrics, but the music itself.

I believe the genre of music doesn't matter. As long as the lyrics are clean or about God. So listening to people like Red, Kutless, Skillet, etc. isn't wrong because the lyrics are mainly about God. I don't understand why people consider Christian Rap, Rock, or any other music wrong. It's still glorifying God. :) For example. I listen to Lecrae, Andy Mineo, KB, Skillet, Red, Kutless, and more all the time because the lyrics speak to me more. :)

It's not the music that's bad, it's their heart and words!

No, According to Ezekial 28:13. Maybe you should get into your Bible a bit more. (no offense intended) Plus there is MANY more verses that talks about this and how he was the most beautiful angel.

Are you exalting the devil back to the status which was removed from him after he has been laid low the Lord?

You must not have read previous comments. All i was saying is that the devil WAS that. Didn't know i was unable to make a comment about what the BIBLE says. There is a reason why the word WAS is in both of my comments. I am in NO way whatsoever glorifying the devil or whatever you are trying to get at.

Just wondering why pointing out that our enemy WAS the most beautiful angel is relevant if it is past tense.
:)

Because i was responding back to a comment someone else had said.
And that's kind of like saying "why does the Bible talk about what the enemy was" considering that was past tense.

Also, not sure why you are even on the Teens forum considering you are 42. The rules of this do say that this is for the ages of 13-18 or 19. My parents say theyre shouldnt be adults (besides the moderators) especially a 42 year old on a teens forum. (again no offense intended)

But I did read the comment, as far as I see this is all the point that was made.

Do you know much about math, numbers, equations and formulas...frequencies, hertz, transmission communication and foreign languages?

Because you see, the devil does.
and while you've been on this earth for 15 years
The devil has studied these things and its effects on humans like lab rats for well over 5000 years.

words can be understood at the conscious level while music itself triggers emotions at the subconscious level
do you think there's the ever so slight possibility that the devil has found a way to communicate with humans in a way we may not be able to completely understand on the surface.

Study this fact, be informed since knowledge is power.
The one with the most knowledge has the edge...if the devil was minister of music at one time, he must remember a lot about how to use it against us huh.
BTW, I already posted many pages ago and didn't just jump in here, perhaps you didn't notice.
No offense, although informing others of what they don't know including teens may be somewhat important in God's kingdom.
I have a teenage son, so I do that often.
:) God Bless

Personally, I don't like metal, but everyone has a differential music taste. Every genre of music comes from God above, and I personally don't like when people say a genre or style of music God does not love just because they don't like it. Because I hate slow gospel singing? Does that make me a heathen? No.

Does this music promote bad behavior, violence, anything ungodly. If it does, then you have a problem, but to judge a whole genre based on a few bad ones is idiotic and judgmental.

Honestly does music always have to be "Anointed" cause when I workout, I'm not looking for "anointed", I'm looking for "pump-up christian rap..etc."

Music is from God, It's a gift from him to us, that can be misused. Just like Sex isn't bad, until it's taken out of marriage. Money isn't bad until it controls us...Etc.
I agree with you, kingerik. All things were created by God for his glory, and people do take things that he's created and turned them into bad things. To me, as long as whatever song you write or listen to glorifies God, then go for it! If it doesn't, please don't. Find something God wants you to listen to that glorifies Him and Him alone.
