Me and my family moved to Holland four years ago to help plant a churh in The Hague, Netherlands.
To make this more understandable; I was born in the Netherlands, moved to England aged 4 and moved back 4 years ago. My mother is English and my father is Dutch so I am half of each nationality, but I feel English (And so is my accent :p).
There had been prophecies saying that we should move to Holland and we felt God was telling us to do so. As you can expect the first year was hard; learning a new language, starting a new school and leaving everything I knew behind. I felt very alone and God later blessed me with 3 great friends.

The church consisted of 10-20 people and we met in our lounge as we had the biggest house being a family of six. Slowly but steadily the numbers grew and now after 4 years the church has 50+ members and a total of 100-200 people visiting each sunday in an old church in the center of the city. Now we are stuck with some problems as a family;
The Elders have taken away all leadership or role in helping the Church and we have been generally rejected as a whole. My parents may have no amount of leadership and I do not know what exactly is happening but it has caused alot of hurt.
This has devided the family and lead to many heated disscusions as my dad thinks God is building character and will reward us for our faith, my mum feels like she doesnt belong in the church and wishes we could leave and move to a place where she can be free to serve the Lord and I question why God keeps us here as the whole reason we came here was for this church and now we arent a part of it why are we here?

We really need to know what God wants us to do and need help handling this, prayer would be amazing.

Wow, went to your link of the church. I feel for you and will pray. Father, grant wisdom and a clear path in decisions as to what this family is to do, where to go and when. May the parents both be told and directed, plainly and clearly by you as to what is the best course to action to take. May wgeurts, be brought to a place of peace within. In Jesus Name I ask this. Thank you, God has blessed us as a church and we have grown so quickly. My family hopes the whole predicament will end so we can continue helping in Gods plan for this church.

God will make a way out of it brother. When God chooses a leader he measures the man's heart, not his head. He is interested. But the LORD said to Samuel, “Do not consider his. Come and share your master's happiness! We belong to Him and He is the reason for everything we do and if we gain any praise it all belongs to Him and Him alone. And having leadership is all about serving God and others. From the teaching and example of Jesus Christ we learn that being a servant leader in the most general sense means being:
  • A voluntary servant, who submits themselves to a higher purpose, which is beyond their personal interests or the interests of others,
  • A leader who uses the power that is entrusted to them to serve others,
  • A servant who, out of love, serves others needs before their own,
  • A teacher who teaches their followers, in word and deed, how to become servant leaders themselves.
And why do they have to take away all leadership in helping the church? Church is a body of Christ The authority in everything comes from God alone not by people. You'll be in my prayers. God bless you and your family bro.
