hey guys. I just need some advice. I've always been one of those people who refuse to be desperate when it comes to having a boyfriend. I know God will give me the perfect guy. I also realize that at my age (9th grade) most boys are too immature for dating. But I look around and most of my friends have boyfriends. And nice, decent guys too. and then I look at myself. And I don't see a pretty girl. I see a girl who doesn't wear make up so I can just look natural. I see a girl who takes forever to do her hair which just never cooperates. And I realize that no one notices me. And I know I shouldn't care what people especially guys think of me but I wish I had someone who appreciated me. I know God loves me but sometimes I just want someone more. Someone who I can fall in love with. What should I do?

This is because you're starting to place more emphasis on guys.
Yes, your friends may be dating. And you may 'think' these guys are decent, but who know for sure? And while you may feel you're somehow missing out by not getting noticed by guys, all that will do is tempt you to date and get caught up in all of that. And that will lead to break ups, heartbreak, bitterness. All your friends may seem happy now, but when they've had their heart broken a few times how happy will they be? When (and almost certainly some will) they give in and have sex how will they feel?
Often times people who are not dating are so focused on what they're 'missing' they forget there's a lot of bad that they are avoiding. Much worse stuff than what they're 'missing out on'.

And though you may not have a lot of guys chasing you, be glad. Because one day when a guy does notice you, he'll notice YOU, not some image you present. When i was 17 i met a girl who was your age. We spent many months becoming good friends. We were very close. She didn't do much with he hair. Didn't dress up (decent but not to get attention), she didn't wear makeup. She was a little chunky but still cute. She had acne problems. She was quiet. And i thought she was amazing. She didn't need to do anything for me to fall in love except be who she was. I encourage you to do the same, just be yourself, be content that you don't know guys approval. Enjoy your life, your talents and your time.

Ignore the feeling, God will show you yoir hisband when he wants to, don't force it. Also if you date someone without intending to eventually marry them, you're effectively dating someone elses husband.

Ignoring feelings doesn't make them go away. It just pushes them aside, yet they are still there and they can still grow. Rather we need to combat thoughts and feelings and replace them with truth.

Also if you date someone without intending to eventually marry them, you're effectively dating someone elses husband.
No true. They are no ones husband (or wife). They are single individuals and at this age, aren't even eligible for marriage.
And even if you intend to marry someone that doesn't mean you will marry. Most people who are seeking marriage date with the hopes of possibly marrying the person they are with (at least at first). There is nothing in the bible that suggests dating is wrong, in and of itself, because you are dating 'someone elses husband'.
Also what if the person never marries at all? Then they will never be 'someone elses husband'.
Lots of flaws in your logic.

I'm not forcing anything. Ive never had a boyfriend. If I actually forced my way into a relationship, I would have had many boyfriends by now. And why do I need to think about marrying at this age? Sorry but please leave this forum. I asked for advice and usually when you ask for advice you ask someone older. Your not older. And your practically mocking me. Thanks a lot. :|

I actually agree with your last sentence. It strikes me as being profound.

Number 1. You shouldn't be mean about that. I don't think he was intending to mock you. He was just giving you advice. You're response was slightly rude. And if you wanted advice form specifically older people then number #1, dont expect to get much of that on the 'teen' forum. go to the family forum or something. idk but it won't help much on here. and number 2, maybe say that you want advice from ONLY older people.

This wasn't meant to be mean, but i'm just letting you know how you came across.

God Bless.

Hmmm. Hey, dear :) I feel the same way, too. BUT, let us always remember that God is preparing someone (best) for us, and that guy will come in the perfect time and place. We just need to wait. Let us first focus on our studies, families, friends, and most of all, let us fix our eyes on Jesus. Let's seek His kingdom first :) We're too young for this. We don't have to rush things out. We have many things to be busy with/to prioritize. Many of us here in CC loves you, oh, all of us here loves you sooo much! :* YOU ARE PRETTY! :D You are the Lord's masterpiece! :D AND you don't need to wear make up. :) Natural beauty is the best! :D (That's why I don't wear make up. Lol) Always remember, don't be insecured :) Always think of WHAT WOULD JESUS DO :D Love you lots! <3 :* MAY GOD BLESS YOU MORE! Muaaaaah! :* xoxoxo

Be yourself and just wait.

Simple as that. I had this crush on a girl in 6th grade and she was cute but I wanted to gain some rep by trying to go out with the prettiest girl in school. So I didn't go after the girl I actually liked. Well, after about a year that girl finally decided to go out with me. It lasted three days.

About a year after that I asked the girl out that I had really liked. We've been happily dating for almost three years, now and I couldn't be happier.

I say that to say, some people God will give to you at a young age, other times you give someone to yourself. And when you do that the relationship has a higher chance of becoming impure.

Just let the Lord do His thing.

Thank girly! love ya! Yeah I was a bit emotional when I posted, but trust me I'm not insecure when it comes to it. I've seen a lot of girls have bad relationships because of insecurities and It wont happen to me.

I was not intending to mock you, if it came across like that I'm sorry. I'm Dutch so my English is also not optimal at times.
I have nothing against dating, what I meant is that when a relationship is getting deeper and you have no intentions of marrying them, why are you in it? As for the marrying someone elses husband/wife; if you are seriously going out with someone and the relationship has gotten deeper while you intend on not marrying them, then you are withholding them from a possible person who may marry them later.

Hey girly. Listen, don't get down on yourself by comparing your life to others around you. I know it's super hard sometimes not to worry about your image, but be confident in who you are, God made you the way you are for a reason. One day, a very lucky guy will see that and like you for you. We all have our own insecurities, but the sooner you get over them and embrace what you are, the better you will feel about yourself. Guys will see your confidence and respect you more. God has a plan for you, just give him time :) PM me if you want to talk about it some more:)

What should I do?

Focus on your school work and prepare for college. You will have 4 years (college) to mature and able to make a better choice in regard to a mate.

Kendrick that verse doesn't necessarily mean God will give us what we want. Because we can want evil things sometimes. I take that verse as God will give us the holy desires we have. So if someone has the desire to praise god through music then God gave him that desire etc. :p
