another "what do you dis-like the most?" "popularity"

well someone told me about this one on christian chat and he is probably one of my best friends so far here on christian chat.. and he said he hated "popularity" well that is a good one!

well here on "popularity" i would like to call it the four P's

1. P- Partying, you always see the popular people going to party's and getting drunk
2. P-Peer Pressure, if you are popular you will probably get into peer pressure and start to curse, go to party's, go get drunk, and no telling what not.
3. POPULARITY!, being popular, you would think, you always want to be more and more popular, as though an attention hog...
4.Possessions, popular people always want the newest thing, am i correct?

yes it is possible to be popular with Christ and not do these things, or do them and do it in favor of Christ

well lets start with partying...

Romans 13:13-14

"Be decent and true in everything you do so that all can approve your behavior. Don't spend your time in wild parties and getting drunk or adultery and lust or fighting or jealousy. But ask the Lord Jesus Christ to help you live as you should, and don't make plans to enjoy evil."


haha wow.. this fits in perfectly right? "Be decent and true in everything you do so that all can approve your behavior" its saying dont be wild and lie be decent and true, on everything you do!

"Don't spend your time in wild parties and getting drunk or adultery and lust or fighting or jealousy"
is this not true? do people not go out and go to crazy party's getting drunk, having sex, or having innopropriate flurting, and is there jealousy guys when your girlfriend is all over some other guy.. or girls when your boyfriend is all over some girl...

"But ask the Lord Jesus Christ to help you live as you should, and don't make plans to enjoy evil."
so in other words dont go out and plan to get drunk, plan to have sex, plan such bad things but ask our savior Jesus Christ to help you live as you should.

now on to the second P... Peer Pressure

Proverbs 4:14-16

"Don't do as the wicked do. Avoid their haunts-- turn away, go somewhere else, for evil men can't sleep until they've done their evil deed for the day. They can't rest unless they cause someone to stumble and fall"

what a great verse! now lets break it down

"Don't do as the wicked do." short yes, but it contains so much! don't do as the others do, so if someone says "want some beer" its tells you DON'T DO AS THE WICKED DO! i mean it can't be said any more clear!


"Avoid their haunts-- turn away, go somewhere else, for evil men can't sleep until they've done their evil deed for the day." ohkay well this reminds me of when people always say.. "just walk away" well it says right here in the bible turn away, go somewhere else... now tell me that doesn't mean just walk away!
"for evil men can't sleep until they've done their evil deed for the day." this reminds me of drug addicts how they can't go a single day until they have took there drug..

"They can't rest unless they cause someone to stumble and fall" this reminds me of drug dealers, there goal, to make sure you get addicted and so they get more sales.

another verse for Peer Pressure

Romans 12:1-2

"And so, dear brothers, I plead with you to give your bodies to God. Let them be a living sacrifice, holy---the kind he can accept. . . . Don't copy the behavior and the customs of this world, but be a new and different person with a fresh newness in all you do and think. Then you will learn from your own experience how his ways will really satisfy you."



well i would like to talk about this verse all in one thing, first off he calls us brothers,

Proverbs 17:17

"A true friend is always loyal, and a brother is born to help in a time of need."

wow thats somethin, our brother, jesus christ is telling us dont give into peer pressure just give our simple house, our simple human bodies to God! Let our bodies be a living sacrifice, holy, the kind he can accept, fourth he can't exept sin for it is worthless in the eyes of God, and dont copy the behavior and the ways of this simple human world fourth there are wars, fourth there is lieng, fourth there is betrayal, fourth there is so much sin! instead be a new person with fresh with ideas, in all you do, then you will learn from your own experience how his ways will really satisfy you."

now for the third P.... Popularity


John 17:14

"I have given [my followers] your commands. And the world hates them because they don't fit in with it, just as I don't."

so he has given everyone of his followers gods commands and they world hates them because they just simply don't go with there life style, so many people are selfish and keep there life the way it is because they are afraid of change! so fourth everyone hates the rules! without rules we would live in such a chaotic world that it would be un-livable

James 4:4

"Don't your realize that making friends with God's enemies---the evil pleasure of this world--- makes you an enemy of God?

so being popular, you would think, that making friends is your main priority but making friends with God's enemies, evil pleasures, makes you an enemy of God. wow that's something it basically says don't become one who is all with evil pleasures such as drugs, sex, etc..

now for the fourth P. POSSESSIONS!
I think possessions have a great deal with popularity it is basically the foundation of it, am i correct?

Proverbs 10:22

"The Lord's blessing is our greatest wealth. All our Work adds nothing to it!"

I have put this verse in another post but wow the Lord's blessing is our greatest wealth fourth it holds the key for an eternal life in heaven!! and all our work adds nothing to it! what a great verse !

Luke 12:22-23, 31

"Don't worry about whether you have enough food to eat or clothes to wear. For life consist of far more than food and clothes. . . . [The Father] will always give you all your need from day to day if you will make the Kingdom of God your primary concern."

The bible tells you straight up you don't worry about not having enough food to eat or clothes to wear, let us not forget about Moses trip and the manna from heaven, and the water from the rock. and for life consist of far more than food and clothes. . . . GOD, THE FATHER! who will always give you your need from day to day if you make the Kingdom of God your primary concern! so as long as you focus on the kingdom of god and you keep your mind set straight you can accomplish far more than popularity.




with that i will conclude my session on the four P's and again I say, you can be popular without doing these things popularity is just a subject some are popular with christ some are popular with drugs and party's so many diffrent possibility's to be popular
