I have heard people say they think the end is near. but I really dont, no one will know the time it will happen. but the false prophet who will come and actually do things that will convince that its Jesus has not came yet. I do think it could happen in the next 100 years because things have alligned but I dont really think its anytime soon. but who knows? what you think?

It all depends on what you see as 'the end'. I remember a story about a farmer all boastful about the future of his filled silos, and someone telling him he'd stored up wrong because he was going that night to somewhere where that didn't matter. The thief on the cross with Jesus, 'today you will be with Me'... People talk about the "rapture" as if it's some distant point on a calendar. But that heart attack, that car crash, that your-ticket-is-punched moment is your rapture, baby. And yeah for some it will be tonight.

True! No one knows the day or the hour. If a person love and trust God the timing of the end will not be issue.
(Matthew 24:36) “Concerning that day and hour nobody knows, neither the angels of the heavens nor the Son, but only the Father.

True but I meant when Jesus comes back and bring all the saves home. I just dont see it as soon as some people think. I mean no one knows but some people claim it will be happening. I think maybe in my children lifetime but I dont know about mine. but could be wrong though

I think you are... but I cold be wrong too. Every generation since Paul's have thought they were the last. But I think this is it. The one thing our generation has that the others haven't is a global technology. It would be impossible for one ruler to rule the globe in Christ's day. Now it would be easy.

I had a dream that Jesus said he is coming now! People think we have 100 years -200 years NO WE ARE RUNNING OUT OF TIME. don't think you can sit around and be good! NO. We do not have time, HE IS COMING sooner then we think. If you pay attention to the times it is evident! Of course we do not know the day or hour but it doesn't mean we can just sit and wait. We must repent now! I believe Jesus is on his way shortly!!

It totally depends on the method of interpretation you use...

There are 4 main methods of interpretation:

1) The Symbolic

2) The Preterist

3) The Historical

4) The Futurist

I don't know when it might be, but I'd like to think that it'd be within my lifetime. Seeing how we are in the last church age and all. But I do like to see the opinions of others.

One needs only look at Matthew 24 to see some similarties, however as above poster mentioned - no man knows the day. It's always best to live everyday as your last regardless since 10 out of 10 people die.

However, I would suggest we start a checklist just to see where it goes.

Here's some I found online (checkmarks mine) -

List of 44 prophecies that warns of the end times:

  1. Increased capacity to make war through technology ☑
  2. Widespread bloodshed between and within many nations ?
  3. A movement to conformity of religion worldwide ☑ (UN World Church/Emerging Church/Yoga/One-Mind)
  4. Gross deviation from Bible teachings ☑
  5. Appearance of a globally acclaimed religious leader ?
  6. Influence from eastern religions, the occult, astrology ☑ (Yoga/Chrislam)
  7. Expectation of peace, with no peace ☑
  8. A viable Jewish State in Palestine ☑
  9. A peace treaty in the Mid East ?
  10. Continuing overt hatred of Jews by Arabs ☑
  11. The building of a place for sacrifice in Jerusalem ? (May be in progress by extremist group)
  12. The restoration of sacrificial worship in Jerusalem ?
  13. Military invasion of Israel by international forces ?
  14. Famines due to upset weather, wars, population pressure ?
  15. Large-scale and life-threatening man-made pollution ?
  16. Economic decline and mega deaths because of disease ?
  17. Destructive natural convulsions: quakes, floods, fires ☑
  18. Asteroids etc devastating huge areas of the earth ?
  19. The moral and economic decline of the nations ☑
  20. Serious health problems in these nations ?
  21. And massive inner-city problems ?
  22. With decline in agricultural output ?
  23. A mass deportation of Jews from the land of Israel ?
  24. Unwise, weak and vacillating leadership in the democracies ☑ (Middle east has a joke of democracy, also in South America)
  25. The appearance of a powerful and dynamic leader in Europe ?
  26. The neglect in the justice system ☑
  27. Disrespect for the elderly, for parents and for the young ☑
  28. Increased leisure/unemployment ☑
  29. Notable corruption at all levels of society ☑
  30. Homosexuality becomes high profile and influential ☑
  31. Increased criminal activity including murder and assault ☑
  32. A union of ten European nations ?
  33. The call for a strong leader to solve massive world problems ?
  34. International military co-operation ?
  35. A movement towards establishing a world government ☑
  36. Europe, a vast international trading place ?
  37. A move towards an economically controlled society worldwide ☑
  38. The growth of anti-Semitism ☑
  39. Burgeoning scientific development and fast communications ☑
  40. The rise of Islamic militancy ☑
  41. Many claiming to be a Messiah ☑
  42. Superficial religiosity without true religious substance ☑
  43. The ability by mankind to destroy all life on earth ☑
  44. Events in the skies ?

There is no "end" for me! For I shall never die :)

(Joh 11:26)
And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

Its true that we are not sure when. However, I often remember when Christ came the first time, there were a lot who didn't think he would come in their time or even their location even though it was spelt out in the old testament. We want to be careful that we don't become like scoffers without realising it. Live as though HE is coming tonight every night.
There are a lot of things to unfold still though. The trick is that its happening at a very fast speed, that speed is what we may not be able to time properly.

I don't believe in rapture but a catching away, and I don't know what time or hour either. I pray for sooner that he will come and I will trust and be ready
