L
Yesterday I was stumbling around blind,
Nights cloak embracing me on every side,
A lost and bewildered sheep for God to find,
A lump of leavened clay waiting to be defined.
But it was in the darkness I attempted to hide,
Too scared and too distrusting to venture forth outside,
I stayed behind wondering why, I always felt so lost inside,
But I was the one keeping myself a prisoner to be tried,
So I stood up, and begged of God “Help Me!” and He heard my cry,
He removed my own chains and led me to step outside.
Today the Lord is renewing my sight,
As He makes me go beyond the door into the light,
“Which way?” I ask, “I am the Way” He replies,
“Follow my voice, for my way is right”
So I trust in Him, and lean on His might,
I know he will lead me even though ill fight,
To lush green pastures and still waters where therell be no night,
Hell stay by my side for the rest of my life.
Tomorrow, I don’t know what I will see,
But at least I know that I will be free,
Because it is the Christ, my Saviour who will lead me.
And even though the future remains a mystery,
Within Yeshua’s arms is where I’ll be,
For to my life, to my future, and to my tomorrow, He holds the key.
7So, as the Holy Spirit says:
"Today, if you hear his voice,
8do not harden your hearts
as you did in the rebellion,
during the time of testing in the desert,
"Today, if you hear his voice,
8do not harden your hearts
as you did in the rebellion,
during the time of testing in the desert,
