"I can't walk this road alone"

While I am good with scripture, and leading others to the Christ I myself can not walk this road alone. I have tried and tried to stay holy and now know this is something that requires me to talk to others and stay accountable. I am handsome and this gets womens attention although I have always been good at retreating and getting out of dangerous situations It is my own mind that becomes my enemy. Porn has had its last say in my life, from today I choose life and I choose accountability. Everyday walk with the King Jesus the Christ and my brothers and sisters in Christ. I know that being on here with you all will be the cement that holds me connected to God, knowing there is a place I can go to just say I did great today.

I want to thank you in advance for just being there and for your encouragement.

Hi JosiahUntoTheChrist,

Welcome to Christian Chat. It is a nice place to spend time with other believers.

You are correct in saying you can not walk this road (dying out to self and living for Christ each day) alone. Being with and conversing with other believers, whether on Christian Chat, at church, or wherever, is usually comforting and uplifting and certainly has its place in the Christian walk. But it is spending time with God and his Spirit each day--talking to Him, listening for Him, and getting His Word--that keeps us close to him. It is this relationship with your loving Father that will continually grow your life-walk with Him.

I have struggled as you have with my walk with God, over the years, and can tell you with absolute certainty that if you keep trying to do what is right in his eyes--abiding by his statutes, covenants, commandments, etc.--and ask Him for forgiveness of your sins and for His help in showing you The Way your sins will be covered and all things He will work together for your good.

Remember, his yoke is easy and his burden is light, so go easy on yourself. He's got you!

His Peace to you, my brother.

Joseph

Well, I have never be cursed with being handsome. ;)

Your desire to walk in purity and holiness is an inspiration to all. Yes, accountability is of immense importance, the Lion seeks out the loners, and those that falter in their gate, their running.

God created in us to be sexual beings, but we have a devil that is lose in the World, we have a mind that can run wild, etc. It would seem that the cards is stacked again us, and that would be the case without the Armor of God, the word of God, Prayer, and God's mighty weapons, and Christian Bothers and Sisters to under girt us in prayer.

God is your strength.

Thank you Joseph,

Your words of wisdom are appreciated and taken on board. I know its only by the Holy Spirit whom seals us in Christ that we get strength. Staying here connected to brothers and sisters in christ will keep my focus on whats important. Relationships that foster right thinking and right living.

Thank you again Joseph.

Thanks for passing through "Passing Through" appreciate the almost vulnerable words of wisdom.
Our King Jesus the Christ reigns as king and so I make him reign as Lord in my heart. I couldn't imagine living in a war torn and terrorist nation governed by Islamist, if I had been killed yesterday I would be in hell. I choose Christ. Thank you for your words of power.

it might not make any difference at all, if you already know that jesus is the name , the only name, by which anyone may be saved.

all authority in heaven and on earth was given by yahweh to yahshua(jesus).

the enemy of christ has distracted from him and from his name ("jesus" is perfectly fine; yahshua is just more accurate, but i knew him as JESUS most of my life before becoming acquainted with the
differences whether important or not, at various times) ...

but the important and wrong emphasis in the charismatic movement has left jesus AND yahshua out of the house in some assemblies. (thus this post).

i.e. there is a lot of error in calling on , praying as if "by name" to , or relying on a holy spirit without a name and without authority and without simply biblical precedence. (yahweh's WORD; SCRIPTURE).

there is only one name with all authority. one name in whom is salvation. the savior jesus, in whom all the believers abide and rest and breath and work and live and trust and rely.

(read the letters from the emissaries, loving and seeking and honoring the WORD of YAHWEH as written by those he sent, written as HE BREATHED through them for his purpose and his plan for his body.
the introductions especially as per seeing the father and the son and what HIS WORD says.... )

Hi Jeff,

Thank you for your concern on my understanding of truth. Its important to see what the King Jesus (Yeshua) the Christ said before his ascension, He needed to leave us so that the Holy Spirit would come. If he finds it in our best interest to speak about the Spirit then there is no issue with giving Him authority because it is the Spirit that the King sent to assist and guide us. Please read below... The King Jesus the Christ has all authority in heaven and earth. By the Spirit He left and yes in prayer we include the Holy Spirit because there is power in the name of our King Jesus the Christ and by His Spirit we are sealed in Him. If you don't have the Holy Spirit you aren't saved by the King Jesus the Christ. You "MUST" be born again of the Spirit and not fear speaking about the Spirit or including the Holy Spirit. Please read the following passages. Please in future could you provide scripture to support your claims. Thank you.

John 16: 7 - 15
"[SUP]7 [/SUP]But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. [SUP]8 [/SUP]When he comes, he will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment: [SUP]9 [/SUP]about sin, because people do not believe in me; [SUP]10 [/SUP]about righteousness, because I am going to the Father, where you can see me no longer; [SUP]11 [/SUP]and about judgment, because the prince of this world now stands condemned.[SUP]12 [/SUP]“I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. [SUP]13 [/SUP]But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. [SUP]14 [/SUP]He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you. [SUP]15 [/SUP]All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will receive from me what he will make known to you.”

Jeff,

I'll just reiterate the point. Feelings have nothing to do with scripture so please provide scripture. I like that you feel so strongly about the points you made but feelings mean little when it comes to truth. So as we speak let us speak in Spirit and in Truth. Much love and peace in the Spirit given by our Lord the King Jesus the Christ.

who said anything about feelings?

you do know, right, that the letters from the emissaries are the letters in the NT.... ? and the emissaries are the APOSTLES called and chosen by YAHWEH(GOD)....?

there (in the NT) you will find what the believers are supposed to live like, and see the great difference between what
the
NT says and what churches today say, and especially how they live (or more particularly how they do not honor SCRIPTURE/ either OT or NT) , if GOD PERMITS.

Please provide scripture, I don't like it when people skate around the subject. Provide scripture and back up your argument. Thank you Jeff.

Jeff I think you are speaking about something without clarifying your argument. To be honest I don't know what you are talking about. I see a line of thinking you keep going on about which is living like the New Testament believers but the way you speaking about emissaries which I know little about as its not in the bible or spoken about in christian circles. I have studied vast amounts of other literature and this word or people you mention aren't anywhere to be found.

If you could keep your argument biblical, I enjoy conspiracies but your argument seems to left of centre.

for simple example (as the later ones are harder to grasp, although simple for a child trusting GOD and HIS WORD).

what does the TORAH/ SCRIPTURE/ WORD OF YAHWEH say

for slaves ? how are they supposed to live a godly life in christ jesus ? what specific command in scripture is to slaves ?

and, also as an example , plain , of how the current day churches don't honor scripture,

which churches (if you know any) agree with GOD'S WORD and GOD'S simple directions to slaves ?

the problem with "providing verses" as you are prone to ask, is that the ones I've provided already you

have either not read or not understood (and very likely, as churches go, most church members accept what their
particular church says instead of testing by GOD'S WORD as GOD'S WORD says to)....

so, or rather, like the rcc catechism which i went through page by page, EVERY page of their cat. disagrees with
GOD'S WORD and explains it by man's traditions instead, replacing what GOD SAYS with what man says,
all the way through their own cat.... and they almost never find out the TRUTH who trust what man has
put in place of GOD'S WORD ---- not just here and there, but throughout....

this is epidemic in the usa, and around the world, regardless of mine or yourn or anyorn's opinion.

and if
the simple things are not understood, how will anything further be ?

this is the point --- "biblical" is not practiced nor understood in the churches in many places.

not 'biblical' as if by phd/masters/years of study... no... but as by simply reading, reading, reading (SCRIPTURE) and praying, praying, praying (another good example also --- some 'members' have said their 'leaders' don't and cannot teach them how to pray continually, how to remain constant in prayer) ....

footnote: if you read the letters of the apostles, you read the letters of the emissaries.

the apostles were 'emissaries' which simply is "sent ones", as also 'ambassadors'...
'biblical' messengers sent by GOD (YAHWEH).

and simply, further describes who they are, what they were called by GOD, (and others also, are emissaries, and ambassadors for CHRIST JESUS; but not many)....

likewise, in the NT, there are many descriptions of the ekklesia born again by the will of yahweh,

that does not match the life nor the appearance in many churches worldwide. what changed? (hint: GOD'S WORD did not change).....
