I don't understand this situation as well, I wish I could help, join the chat and talk about it. Usually is a really good discussion in the the Bible Room.. But for some reason it may be a weird voice in your head (not 100%) or a random vivid dreams. But read the the bible and prayer about it

I hated this answer but I know it's true. God will let you know when you need to know, all your required to do is trust that He will. Keep in the Word and in prayer and stay in tune with God so when He tells you, you will be able to hear Him. Also pay attention to the things that your natural at and love to do

The term 'calling' is an interesting Christian concept I think. Through the years I have often heard people discussing 'calling'; usually in the context that they have no clue what their 'calling' is.

It's important to know that there are several things given to us in Scripture that are our mandate, I use the word mandate because it goes beyond a calling, a mandate is a task we are given that is not changing. Scripture makes it clear that we are to do a number of things, such as loving God, loving people (Mark 12:30-31). We are told to make His name and glory known across the world (Psalm 105:1; Acts 1:8; Matthew 28:16-20). These sort of declarations from Scripture are not suggestions, they are commands. Each and every Christian has an active role in proclaiming God's glory.

When we are moving forward and accomplishing those things that we are already supposed to be doing as Christ followers, this is when we begin to see more specific direction. As the body of Christ we are many parts right? We each can't do exactly the same things...In the broader context we all have the same mandates; but God does place individual direction on our lives to impact the world in different ways.

For instance, some people have a heart for homeless ministry, some for youth, some for addicts, others for slavery victims. I myself have a burden for seeing God's name proclaimed among a particular people group and have a very firm 'call' towards living among that people group to accomplish that task.

It's very easy for us to get caught up in the 'Christianese' words such as 'calling'. If you are concerned God isn't placing specific things in your life, then persevere with those things that we as Christian's are all supposed to be doing already. Do those things faithfully, keep moving forward, growing in your walk and love for God. Typically the specific burdens of our hearts tend to arise from those situations we are living through that we don't realize God is using to mould us. Patience is very painful; but always worth it.

Our question on calling shouldn't be so much a concern for a specific word from God. Our hearts desire should be to see God's name known and glorified, and in this desire we should be daily asking God how we can most effectively take a role in accomplishing this mandate.

God bless Christianwarrior12! I pray you begin to see how Father intends to use you in the days ahead (and I suspect He is already doing so).

What you are called to do, is to obey the Bible and be led by the Spirit. If you seek the kingdom of God first and if you are honest with yourself and are humble about your natural gifts and supernatural gifts, then you will achieve your calling.

On, the, question, how does, one, identify, their, calling.

Learning, to, recognize the, lead, of, the, King, comes, prior, to, Him, asking, something, of, you, in, the, context, of, your, question. And, you, can, assume, He, will, lead, you, daily, for, a, time, before, He, leads, you, into, something, more, like, a, year, long, plan. And, with, each, success, I, recognized, He, asked me, to, do, ____________, and, you, did it, His, voice, gets, louder, until, you, can, follow, His, directions, take a left here, take a right, here, now, ask, this, specific, person, if, they, had, lunch, today, and... This, comes, before, plans, bigger, than, today.

An, inspired, answer, to, your, honest, question.

I can totally understand what you mean, and I think the best idea really is to pray about it. With my dad, his calling was to be a godly buisinessman. He was sitting thinking, "You know there aren't enough godly businessmen in the world..." So he signed up for SRP (a powerplant company) and that was it.

For me I wish it was that easy. I remember being told I had a calling to be an evangelist and I was like ".....Ok yes I hear you but how?" And then recently I was at a church service praying asking, "God how am I gonna do that?" and then the guest speaker came over and prayed, "Lord just let her keep singing for you."

Maybe He's saying, "You don't have to do anything, just be available and use your talents for Me and I'll take care of the rest." You know?

I don't think everyone does identify it. There are likely those who's calling is to be something of a jack of all trades, too, and not have one specific talent/attribute/calling. We're gifted in different things and to different extents. This is what diversity is all about, and it's something that should be celebrated!
