I was reading today about Jacob, and I thought that it was interesting that when God spoke to him it would usually start with, "Now get up and go somewhere else." It's an amazing in itself physically hearing the voice of God, but what would your response be? Would you just get up and go?

If it were me, my first reaction would most likely be. "God is that you? You want me to go? Like now? Where? You sure?"

My wife and I were watching TV on a cold winter night, two weeks before Christmas. I had lost my job because the company had closed with NO forwarning. We had maxed out a couple of charge cards and I had not yet received an umemployment check. An audible voice, clear as a bell, said directly to me, as if it had come out of the TV "Get up and go the 7 pm. service at such and such church!" I looked over at my wife. She had heard nothing. Like a robot, I got up, brushed my teeth, changed into more presentable clothing...and I went alone. My wife thought I was crazy. I was not a member of that church..it was 25 miles away, we have very little gas to do the round trip, and I never told her I had heard a voice. I'm glad I listened to that voice....for it made a huge difference in our lives and circumstances. It would take me several pages to share the entire story, but...you asked "Would you just get up and go?" I did, I did !!!!! A person automatically knows that it is something Supernatural...it touched deep in my spirit...and I knew it was not a fluke or figment of my imagination.

I can't quite say for sure. I know I'd have a strong urge to do it if I thought it was God though. I'm getting kinda bold nowadays so I'd say the possibility of me actually obeying such a command has gone up.

That's pretty cool. It must felt amazing, huh? Thanks for sharing your story, it gave me a feeling of renewal.

I would definitely question it to make sure it really was God but once I knew I would. I feel really called to live at an orphanage in Uganda, Africa that I have church connections to. Once I get my degree I would love to go there. When the time comes I hope my heart is still in the same place and I pursue. When I first felt God calling me I kept telling myself it's just a guilty conscious, God wouldn't want that drastic a change. But the more I look into it the more I know thats what he wants from me.

keep reading/ seeking/ about Jacob and others called by Yahweh. see what Yahweh Promised to those who did what He told them to do. (it is way way passed amazing ! sheer grace too! ) ...

point being, in HIS WORD. HIS WRITTEN WORD..... are many PROMISES ... promises that americans never hear of. that americans never see, let alone see come to be.
yes.

in GOD'S WRITTEN WORD, many promises.... never heard, never received by americans....

well, not quite, not really, "never" ... >> almost never... but not never....

not because they don't obey GOD'S audible voice, but because they dishonor HIS WORD.

few ever hear His audible voice. but HIS WORD .... (it's just as if no one in america has a bible !!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
