I have been having trouble reading my Bible. I feel fatigued and burned out when I try recently but I really want to get through it but I end up learning nothing on my own but grrr! I'm frustrated and don't know what to do.

You may not want to read it like a book, if you are. Just look up a key word in the back of the bible (about how you are feeling or a question that you may have) and read those scriptures that the word references. I find it easy and enlightening.

However, if you are a newly converted Christian you may want to read Mathew, Mark, Luke, or John, or all four. It covers Christ's works and the words He spoke, which are always interesting.

I hope this helps you.:)

Thank you very much. I have been a Christian over a year now and I'm usually fine but as of late when I try to do a bible study I feel fatigued. This may help though

I pray the Lord will bless you mightily during your Bible study time, physically and in every way, including feeling His Presence.:)

Chaz,

Some people prefer visual and audio learning. Try this free online bible video course authored by evangelical Christian author John R. Cross with the downloadable companion workbook.

Additionally, you can email them questions and they'll answer them for you. It's all free. Peace.

See: Learn about the Bible. An online video course from GoodSeed

"Self-paced course: Learn in privacy and at your own pace.

Based on an award-winning series: The course is based on the award-winning The Stranger on the Road to Emmaus VideoBook.

Objective: The Bible is allowed to speak for itself. There is no arm-twisting to believe. The message is presented objectively; the decision to believe or not to believe is left to the reader.

Chronological: Beginning with the creation of the universe, and then progressing sequentially through key Old Testament stories, it moves into the New Testament to reveal the meaning of the cross and the tomb. The main story of the Bible is tied together into one universal, all-encompassing drama.

Peels religious tradition off the Bible: Viewers are introduced to the Bible without the trappings of religion.

Bible verses: Told as a story, 1177 Bible verses are woven throughout the text. The viewer engages directly with the text of the Bible. The course assumes the viewer knows very little, if anything, about the Bible.

Visual aids and graphics: VIsual aids and graphics are used to explain biblical concepts in a way that the viewer will never forget. Footage shot on location in biblical lands: See for yourself where Bible events took place."
