We are a couple seeking an answer. We would like to know if God planned for us to be together and are concerned that we as a couple are too biased to hear correctly. We are hoping that some of you can pray and ask God whether we are to be together as a couple or not, however, seeing as anyone can simply claim an answer we ask one more thing. To ensure that it is really from God we would like you to not only give us an answer but to tell us our names just as Daniel (through God alone) told king Nebuchadnezzar his dream. I have faith that God will reveal his answer to at least one person.

If you think that you're too biased while together to hear from God, then you're probably not meant to be together right now. Not ever, mind you, but not now, because you should be able to hear and receive from God when in a relationship...even if God is saying no, or wait, or separate for now.

I wasn't really sure what to say about the OP. Lol
I've never seen anyone ask that.. Well the part of "To ensure that it is really from God we would like you to not only give us an answer but to tell us our names just as Daniel (through God alone) told king Nebuchadnezzar his dream." I mean I'm not judging or anything. I've just never seen anyone ask that so yeah I'm not sure what to say other than I'll pray.

You have the cheek to ask somebody else to fulfill YOUR responsibility before God, for crying out loud, grow up (spiritually)!

You can find a bit of a study Here on seeking and receiving guidance from God...

Thank you for those of you who are praying for us. I am not sure why such conclusions are so easily jumped to but here is some clarification. One of us is a christian and the other is exploring christianity still. I as the christian have prayed to God but we want confirmation and we are afraid that biases can sometimes skew answers. It is not that no answers have been recieved by one of us. We simply wish that other christians would ask God on our behalf as brothers and sisters in christ for confirmation. I do not consider speaking with God a responsibility but rather a privilege. We do not believe God is so small and unobservant that he cannot provide names to his people. God told Daniel Nebuchadnezzar's entire dreams therefore surely he is powerful enough. While I am aware that Nebuchadnezzar did not desire for fraud and therefore asked for his dream interpreted I want to ensure you that we are not trying to insinuate that you as people are frauds but rather that we like reassurance. I would not post such a request if the Lord himself did not say to do so and tell me that he would answer. Please do not shun us for obeying God and trusting him. Even for those of you who mock or judge us I still ask that God will bless you.

I don't know where this idea came from. The fact that God will choose a spouse for you. If you think about it, if God was going to take any choice away from you, wouldn't it be the choice of salvation?
But anyways, my answer to your question is, if you two can help each other grow in every area of your lives especially in God then you guys should be fine. But never allow yourself to be so consumed in a relationship that you wouldn't be able to receive God's opinion on the matter. You should always seek God from the beginning of the relationship and put him first in all things.

walk away....why did you get so involved with a non-Christian that you have lost sight of God?

after you get married, you will understand why I said walk away

actually, if you stuck your head into your Bible, you would come to the same conclusion

the reason you are supposedly not hearing from God is because He has already spoken on this matter

If you actually desire God's will it's a no brainer. You are being disobedient to the scripture you already have and desire God to give you a fairy tail ending. Boy oh boy are you in for a wake up call

this has nothing to do with dreams or revelations...you are deceived if you think God makes an exception in your case

I can answer this way because I already walked this path and it leads to a very bad ending

ps...I am married now to a Christian man
