There comes a time in most every man's life when he is tempted.
When he argues and wrestles with his own spirit and intellect.
When the dark side in him argues and debates with the light in him.
Sometimes you may find yourself having this sort of conversation;
It goes against all that you know to be right.
Yeah but like that really matters, the world and you are already corrupt anyway.
It flies in the face of common sense and good morality.
Well that's something you've really never had in bundles anyway. Is it really? Come on.
You'll regret it and hate yourself for it.
Yeah but that's then and you this is now. Let's live in the moment!
Nothing good can really come out of it.
Who cares its all good if you enjoy doing it right?
It will effect your relationship with people.
So what they are all stuck up people that don't care about you anyway.
It is written. Thou shall not.
But you can still do it if you want to and nothing will happen to you.

The man knows only so much of what is really going on.
But behind the scenes there are really very real forces at work warring for your very soul.
As C.S. Lewis says; you don't have a soul, you have a body. You are a soul.
What might seem like just a conversation with yourself can actually be a conversation you are having (and not even know about it) with the devil. He subtly whispers thoughts and ideas into peoples minds, he knows that their natural reaction and response is one based on their current knowledge and understanding of their life, sin and righteousness. Some people have yet to accept Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour or even come to know that He is.
He actively seeks those that know the truth but don't share it to destroy their life even more as much as possible. To blind them from the truth means blinding others to it too.
Obviously it would take too long to work on 1 person at a time. So he works through bigger things like alchohol, tobacco and drugs. Even through music, movies & games. New trends, new POV's. He knows its like a snowball effect. He knows how it can be infectious and contagious. How just one person can turn a whole generation, a whole nation into Godless heathens. He's had a lot of practice at it. Eventually, he doesn't even have to do anything and people just sin on their own.
A sin is to do something wrong that you know to be wrong but you do it anyway. Some sins are only minor. But all sin is sin to God. Anything that is against His perfect and Holy will is a sin. However, we sometimes now that but still do it anyway. Even though we believe it in every fibre of our body. In every part of our mind and soul, we still find ourselves doing it. It just feels hopeless it really does.
This is probably because we just don't see the full picture. We only see what is going on in our mind not the mind of others right now about your life. Right now God is conscientiously thinking about you. Jesus is conscientiously thinking about you. There are probably angels conscientiously thinking about you right now. It could be that there are even demons conscientiously thinking about you now and looking for a "foot hold" into your life. A way to make you sin more and more and actively to destroy your life and your very soul.
Temptation to evil comes from the world, the flesh and the Devil. In John 2: 14-17. The apostle John writes, “I have written unto you, fathers, because ye know him who is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the Evil One. v15. Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. v16. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the vain glory of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. v17. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.”
