Alright folks, this thread:

http://christianchat.com/christian-young-adults-forum/126238-eccentric.html

...showed me one thing: I am lost.

If something positive is going to get done, I might as well flip the script proactively, and make THIS thread one of blessing and positivity. It will be therapeutic for the both of us (you, the reader, and myself), and may be a better offering to the LORD in a spirit of repentance.

So here's where I'm proactively putting my focus: If there's anything you need help with, or struggle with, I invite you to share it here, and we can offer a written prayer on it together. I will cease the fighting, and aim to be a blessing and help to you all.

We have life we need to deal with. None of us can win complaining or grieving about it. I thought about it...if I can pray for you, in Jesus' name, where we are BOTH made pure in his name, perhaps we can create something positive out of this.

So, I ask of you: What's on your heart? How may I pray with you?
(I am truly being sincere)

I have been pondering deep in my heart lately about the path I follow. As a Christian I chose to follow a very difficult path one that is not the norm. I am not after an ordinary kind of love and relationship with God nor am I after an ordinary kind of faith, I seek a connection with his heart that is of the utmost closeness and deepness and I truly wish to see love and care for all people as he does no matter who they are or what they have done no matter how cruel or dark their hearts are or how blood stained their souls ares.

But as I said this is not an easy path to walk because to even seek after such a love as that one must give it all they have got and must seek after love exhaustively to know love to be filled richly with it and to see through it's eyes which is in no way easy because of human nature and one must face the deepest darkness within them even the parts that we want to pretend isn't there. There are no short cuts in faith and in seeking such a love and taking the easy road isn't something I can do because jesus won't be waiting for me at the end of that road.

So if I can receive prayer of any kind it would be that not only I but all others who travel this path will be strengthened and have the will to never give up no matter what happens or what kind of suffering they may go through and that they may consider the reason why behind seeking God and being a Christian and that God's love and that his fire and the reason why his fire burns so strongly and so intensely would ignite inside all of us

That was deep, Blain. I could relate to ALL of that. ALL of it.

Lord Jesus, I thank you for bringing us all together in this chat site. We all look to make our days more meaningful towards you LORD. I know we've all fallen short, and came far away from you, but now we gather here, in union, towards your eternal grace and mercy. Thank you for your mercy, and all that you do. In your name, Jesus, may all of us present, reading and speaking this prayer and offering may endure onward past the struggle, pain, and loss and that we all may come to know your love and grow passionately in your love for all your children. May you allow Blain to realize this, may you allow anyone reading to realize this, and may you allow all you guide to realize this. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Thanks for sharing that, Blain.

Anyone else care to ask for a prayer?

Yes bro I need prayer. Now I will say first hand this is more so of a male "thing" so to any females or anyone rather, who's reading this by all means I am not trying to make you uncomfortable or come off as perverted. But man out of all honesty I need prayer with my "addiction" if you will, Primarily lust, masturbation, porn, basically anything of sexual origin I want prayed off of me. I don't want to stay bound by perversion, its a filthy sin and it has gone on way too long now. I am a gentleman and a man of God , at least that's what I want to be deep down but temptation is a killer, I do not want my soul to be lost because of this. I want to seek God and I want to be pleasing in his eye sight but it is really hard to stay consistent with my faith and refrain from sin. Please help :(

No judgements here, Savion. God loves us. He loves us so much, he sent his only son, Jesus Christ, to save us from sin, so that we may have hope to be free to love him back, and enjoy that relationship. It can get tough to endure not having a significant other to enjoy contact with, but through the LORD, we can be made temperate enough to eventually attract a desired loved one through character of principle.

LORD, thanks for bringing our friend Savion here today. I know the struggle he faces, and that it can be hard to live without a significant others. Yet, we give thanks to you that your grace and love emerges stronger than the lusts and pulls we all struggle with, men or women, and will mold us into the man or woman we need to become to finally have our love come to us. I pray that Savion is able to identify a focus greater than his current desire for gratification, and that through that higher desire, focused on serving you, LORD, may help him find his loved one through the process. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Hope that helped pal. It gets lonely, but when we engross ourselves towards a worthwhile pursuit, what we want comes to us. We just need to ensure we keep the LORD first.

Anyone else need a prayer?

House group tonight. I am leading the group on Elijah and Elisha the second portion.
In many ways this is an odd passage, how we can apply it to ourselves.
Prayer is for insight to bring Gods message to us today, so we can bring a blessing to each other and be a real light in the community in which we meet.

Thanks

Peter

A on side note FunRider - you where expressing some strong emotions and connecting them with different points of faith. Our minds tend to link how we feel to ideas in our lives but it can be completely wrong. My daughter used to burst into tears because she felt conflicted over keeping her friends happy which was impossible because they wanted different things and she had to choose. Rather than face the feeling, she buried it, but up it came hours later. It takes time to start to see the pressure points and be patient, so I encourage you to continue in a positive line, because the Lord has done more than you think already in your heart, which is probably why this sense of loss became so overwhelming.

No prob Peter.

LORD, thank you for allowing us to come together today, to offer a prayer, this time, for the revelation of your wisdom and insight for the home study group PeterJens is pulling together within his circle of fellowship. It does require effort to pull together a team towards an objective, and even much more so in faith and wisdom to do so in your name, LORD God. I just want to give thanks for witnessing a group of people dedicating time to get to know you better, LORD, and I ask, in Jesus' name, that the bible study PeterJens is leading on the latter part of your prophets Elijah and Elisha's journey and mission be revealed in wisdom and understanding, so that all that are participating may walk away with the wisdom of their faith. Thanks be to the LORD. Amen.

Very strong emotions. It's all real to me. I realized, midway through that dialogue, that I would only descend to madness. Fighting isn't the answer. I know, in my heart, most of my feelings towards ideas on faith, God, my life, and the results are based in fury, resentment, and a desire to change it all. If I cant fight them, I must embrace them, and live with them towards a positive, blessed end. I know, deep inside, that the LORD has done may good things for me, and I guess I have to subdue wanting more. If I cant force God to show himself in a duel-like style, might as well scrap the negative, and be a blessing to others.

I've been told, in confidence and in public, "Take your eyes off yourself, and put them on other people". I will do that. Thanks for all your feedback, by the way. It's good to fellowship with others. My abrasiveness is only due to my need to be transparent and honest. That is always the best discourse.

Anyone else with a prayer request?

Ok, do you have a prayer? This is a post to offer prayers if you need them to come real in your life.

If you want to make idle commentary, you can PM me for that. Please do not persist in those types of comments on this page, or action will be taken to correct you. Thank you.

Well, I am relating to being lost. Maybe I didn't make that clear. If you want to pray for that, by all means, do. No threats necessary.

Thanks.

I would love to pray for you, man, if that's what you were wanting. The way that post was worded...most people would take it the wrong way. But I know what you mean now.

Heavenly father, thanks again for bringing all of us here today. Even in our errors and flaws, we find our way through to connect with our brothers and sisters in Christ. None of us are perfect, but your LOVE for us is, and through that, we can find ways to love each other in respect and care. You are truly a God of acceptance and mercy, LORD, and in that, I would like to ask of you, in Jesus' name, to bless Siberian_Khatru with guidance, wisdom, and direction. Show him how he can be a blessing to others, and bless him with the resources necessary to do so. Give him direction and focus towards the vocation you intend for him, LORD. Allow Siberian_Khatru to be the best he can be, and lead him towards a life of significance and abundance backed by your grace LORD. In Jesus' name, Amen.
