I'm really in deep thought, I've been working for 6 months in my current work not that long right?? But since day one I really felt I don't have the passion for it, I'm not productive in my work, and in my stay with this work I always think of quitting or anytime sooner I could pass a resignation letter, and everytime I think such thing I feel relief, but I'm not doing it, what holding me is I'm afraid if I am able to find another job, since in this world it is so competitive. I know some are in need of a job, that's why I have to be thankful, but how can I be thankful when there is no passion and I can't give my best. And I think I keep sinning because I'm not doing well for my work. Brothers and Sisters I need your prayer. I don't want to make decision that not fit to God.

I will pray for you. In the mean time what is your passion and what do you want to be working at? Look for that job as you are still working at this one. You can't step through doors of passionate opportunities if you do not first open them. Good Luck!

Well, hello my friend! So nice to see you here.
Sorry I missed talking to you when you popped in,
hope we can connect again. I knew you were busy, I hadn't seen you since that last msg, and I don't think I got back to you.
(That prayer was for a hero police officer...he is coming along, btw, thx to God and ppl praying)
I will try to find you again, meanwhile, prayers for your job situation,

Father in heaven, please help Aly find peace about her job.
She's a good worker you know, Lord, but she's unhappy
and doesn't feel this is the best place for her to be at this time.

Please give her wisdom to make the right decisions,
if there is a new place you want to move her, Lord,
help her go in faith, but if she's to stay there for a while,
then renew her strength with the joy of the Lord
and help her do all she does to your glory,
not worrying about what others think,
but just enjoying fellowship with you daily so the days will just breeze by.

I pray you give Aly the desires of her heart, Lord...
I thank you for her friendship and kind words in the past,
and I pray this prayer reaches your heart, Lord, and you in turn reach hers.

I know you are sovereign, God, and know all things,
so I can trust you to answer according to your will,
but since my friend and sister came here after some time away
just to ask for prayers about this situation,
she is showing her faith in you, Lord, and we know that pleases you,
so we're confident to lift her to your throne of grace
and can expect great joy when you answer,
so we thank you already, Lord, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Being part of a Family of faith is really great! Yes, the world is competitive, but "I have chosen you out of the world..." John 15:19. "Don't work for the food which perishes, but rather work for that which endures to Life everlasting" : )

Christ came to gives us agape life not a life where we resent our jobs and hopefully one day we have enough money to retire. I'm sure it is better to find a job you will like doing, than try to please others views of what is apporprite for you to do in an economy that appears to me to be destroying itself.

My practice is to give two weeks notice or a month's notice if you want to quit.
I suggest not to burn your bridges from your current employer.
You need a job reference to get another job.
It also helps to have a job to get another job.

I work at a job where a lot of responsibilities fall on me and it isn't easy but they like me.

God puts us where He wants us to be, so whether we have a passion for it is not most important. What matters is God's will for our career and life as a whole. It is really dangerous to make decisions based upon emotion instead of waiting, listening, and reacting to God's will.

My thinking, we should excel at whatever God puts before us -- Joseph excelled at being a slave, a prisoner, and second to the pharaoh. God expects us to do our job and to do the work we are paid for by our employers -- lack of passion is not a valid excuse. Also, expecting to be able to move to the next level (new job or whatever) when we are failing at current level is flawed thinking too. On the other hand, sometimes we need a way out from under our current circumstances and a chance to renew. The holy spirit is key to figuring out when to do one or the other.

As others have said: Start looking for a better job while staying where you are. Being unemployed sucks.

There are many days that I feel exactly like you do about your job. It is best to have another job to move into before resigning. I am thankful for my job but it is highly physically and mentally draining on me. I'll pray that God leads us to more meaningful and suitable employment. Sooner rather than later. Hang in there.

Praying for you. I pray that the Lord blesses you greatly for seeking Him in this matter. My advice would be to continue to work at this place, giving it your all for the Lord, thanking Him for the opportunity, while praying and seeking employment in an area that you're passionate about. The Lord will bless you and tell you when it's time to move on. I pray He gives you peace in your decision and that even during the waiting process, you will find peace in your current job. I've learned recently that the Lord has us places, even uncomfortable ones, for a purpose. Pray and ask the Lord why He has you in this current place of employment.

God bless!! Take courage, God has a plan for you and it's not to be miserable! :)
