Most dreams are not from God. But that does not mean that for some people some dreams can't be from God.
Are we to tell God how He should communicate with us?
If He wanted to communicate to me like that I sure wouldn't even consider it was from Him, so He never gives me such dreams. They're always clear. A person can be someone else, but it's always normal and clear, like seeing all my collegues get saved. So I have no idea. Every good gift comes from the Father of Lights is all I can think of.
What I pick up from the dream is: if you contact him he may want something from you, so watch out.
I had a dream that I biked with an old collegue and told him the gospel years ago. Lately I did. It was great, but then he asked me to come over and take my tooth brush with me. In general always watch out when you get compassion for a guy.

My phone keeps auto correcting so the part where I said "Eisenhower" please disregard that... haha. Silly phone. I was saying somewhere along the lines where it comes down to testing the spirits etc.

That exactly it! How to describe how I know it's from the lord. Those parts are very clear. Where most my dreams are very jumbled. Some parts are. But the parts with the Lord are very clear. And in my dream, it makes total sense.. sorta. Hard to explain.
Oh ya I totally understand that. My one friend has been teaching me a lot about being careful because I am way too trusting.. apparently.
But the part with my ex. I will leave strictly in the lords hands. Because I do not feel comfortable at all in that area.

Honey some on here are self taught and will eat you alive.. Absolutely nothing wrong with asking for advice.. God gave some to be in position to teach and educate.. If all we needed was God then parts of the Bible lie..
I commend you for your bravery and search for an answer.. God does give dreams and gives some the ability to tell you what it means..

Man, the only real significant dream that I ever had was one I kept having repeatedly as a child (like every night for a week straight).

I was in space and a tiger was facing away from me (standing like he was on solid ground). He would turn his head to look at me with his left eye and it would twinkle once. I remember feeling terrified every time it would happen and I would force myself to wake up.

Sorry OP. I'm no interpreter of dreams but the topic fascinates me.

I would say that you were lead into worship by the spirit then you were shown because of your worship that you would recieve gifts because you will be taken care of, I also thin the importance of the train with video games was to show that video games are not sins, perhaps there was a slight hinting that even though it is a mildly controversal thing, He doesn't have a problem with some of the things people do so you want some ****ing video games here you go.

Then you went to go see the drug dealer and you showed him all the gifts that were bestowed upon your worship, and he had never seen clearly people just being helped from above like this, when he accepted your beliefs he got you as a gift, you told him you'd live with him, and things progressed.

The orange elephant was a message for me and the other stuffed animal reaffirmed it, good luck being wrong

Persontalkto....
I am confused.. you seemed nice but then rude at the same time... blocking a swear word and then saying how wrong I am? How am I wrong?
I know 100% that my ex was not the lord speaking to me. But the singing to him was and the train was too. He gave me an orange elephant. But I have no idea to this day if it's supposed to symbolize anything or not. Or if he's just giving me a gift since it is my love language. Etc.

I think a stuffed orange elephant is a heffalump from Winnie the pooh. Not sure what it means though.

I have never seen the Heffalump Winnie the pooh movie... I am not sure of the elephant means anything. Maybe it just means Hes giving me a gift. I have no idea. But I love animals and elephants are very sensitive and intuitive animals. I do love elephants. :)
