It was first at Antioch (Syria) that they were called Krishna'ans. Some might be called to be a Christ. They must renounce the systems of falseness, evil or corruption they were born into, become born again in the spirit of right living as taught by the system of The Way, begin to confess, repent, walk anew, witness, testify and in time speak the gospel of calling others out of their false system and into the light of The Way and be knowledgeable of, and accepting that, suffering and persecution will come in renouncing those false systems.

Peter saw it. Jesus was an ilegitimate Mithra child of the religious and governmental systems of His time and recognizing the truth of The Way, renounced that system to teach The Way. Saul the Pharisee unlike Nicodemus also saw this truth, renounced the pharisaical system, and with his life on the line professed to the kings court that he was teaching a system of The Way - having been charged as a ringleader of a sect called the Nazarenes. Others were and have since been, heeding the truth of this calling.

Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you—unless indeed you fail the test? -2 Cor 13:5

Whether I am a true Christian or not is not for me to say but rather God and others who see the heart of God in me. We can believe we are true Christians but we can be blind to our true selves and be mislead even people in history who were called the most devout followers of Christ slaughtered people in God's name.

I know a true believer by the fruits of their hearts when I see love in a person when I see mercy and patience when I see a willingness to serve others with true joy in their hearts and asking for nothing in return except the honor to serve I see the very light and heart of God himself and this is how I know one of his own. But as for myself it was never my place to decide as I don't trust the eyes I see myself with and I would much rather let God and let others decide if I am indeed a true Christian than to say or think so myself
