No doubt our nation was built by the hand of God. Never forget that or let anyone tell you different. We may have separation of church and state but this by no means eliminate the foundation this country was built upon. Be proud many gave their life fighting for our freedoms and many today would love to have our freedoms.[/FONT]

We don't have separation of church and state. That's not in the constitution. Also the phrase was meant to keep government out of the church, not the other way around.

I misunderstood one president's quote

John Adams

“The Government of the United States is not in any sense founded upon the Christian Religion.” 1797, The Treaty of Tripoli, initiated by President Washington, signed by President John Adams, and approved by the Senate of the United States
The United States of America have exhibited, perhaps, the first example of governments erected on the simple principles of nature; and if men are now sufficiently enlightened to disabuse themselves of artifice, imposture, hypocrisy, and superstition, they will consider this event as an era in their history. Although the detail of the formation of the American governments is at present little known or regarded either in Europe or in America, it may hereafter become an object of curiosity. I can see now John Adams considered himself outside the orthodox religion. I will edit my post to only produce truthful information thank you!
