Today I felt physically and spiritually unwell. I feel disconnected from myself and from Christ and I don't know why. I am looking for a prayer partner who can pray with me and help me get through this!

Heavenly Father please be with te3390 encourage her in all trials and tests in life. Please re-light the fire in her soul and help her understand why sometimes you heavenly father must pull slightly away from us so that we may be forced to grow closer to you. Almost like a human father teaching his child how to ride a bike. He will hold on for a few times until he thinks the child is ready to fully learn how to ride. So he lets go but never leaves the child's side. The child learns more about how to ride because the father prepared them. But if the child may fall, the father is right there to lift her/him up and help him begin to ride again. Sometimes God will pull slightly away to see if we pull closer to God. If he stayed near us all the time, it would be easy to live for God almost making us live for him. I believe he lets us practice our free will and when he pulls away we can choose to run after God again or give up.

Of course, unforgiven sin will make us distant from God. Sometimes we must ask God to search our minds and help us acknowledge sin that we may have no idea we are committing. I hear people at work who say they are Christian but say God dang except more colorful all the time. They do not even realize they are using Gods name in vain. Because it is such a habit they do not realize they are committing a sin.

Be strong sister this trial will pass and the fire will be rekindled. Just never give and always run after our Heavenly Father.

God is with you always even if you don't feel Him. Remember that He is faithful and will never abandon you.
