I have lost five pounds in a week!

I have been drinking protein shakes and meal replacements and eating clean.

Oh.. and EXERCISING

But I have been eating clean and healthy for awhile.

Planning to run a 5k so that is what all this prepping is for, haha. and to be healthy!

I got some awesome new recipes that I found on the internet if anyone wants them lol.

I feel great. How is everybody else doing?

Well done!

You will probably find that at least 2-3 lbs of that would have been retained fluid
rather than fat the first week. I can't tell how much you need to lose but if you want to lose a few
more pounds, then it should be fairly easy to lose between 1-3 pound a week with a
sensible plan.

I managed to lose 12lb in 8 weeks while sticking to a 1600 calories per day, without
any additional exercise even taking into consideration my age, but there again my metabolism
tends to run a little above average.

One thing you should do is measure yourself if you add exercise into the
equation as muscle weighs more than fat. So you may think you are not losing
any fat but you are really. :)
