Sorry to hear about your situation. It's common for people to miss their families after being with them for most of their lives. There's a time period we all go through to adjust being on our own. I pray that the Lord comforts you, he is with you.

I was homesick too when I left home for the first time. I believe that it is especially hard when you are young and have only known the security of staying with the parents. I pray that God will keep your eyes open and prepare for suitable employment opportunities, provide comfort to you and to alleviate your loneliness. Glad to have you as a member of our family. Welcome to CC.

My heart breaks for you as I read your post.
My son went to university September 2016. I cried as I left him as he cried when I left him.
He lives in halls, which is basically a room of his own. There are 11 other people in his hall.

I encouraged him to not stay in his room and get involved with the others. I encouraged him to find a good church.

Im not sure if you are in a room where others are around you and then you can do the same.
If so then don't stay in your room, mingle with others, find a good church.

If not then maybe this forum can be your church.
I notice that chat groups can be formed (if I've got it right), if so look to form a chat group.

Trust me it does get better, my son is more relaxed when he comes back for a week and then I take him back to,university.
It does take time to adjust.

It is easier though when you find your feet, make new friends, find a good church.
If your not in a situation where you can't do physically then you can do virtually on this site.

God bless you

The severe case of homesickness hits everyone the first time they leave home. It takes about two weeks before it subsides. The quicker you are at finding a new church and finding new friends eases it greatly.

If it helps any, anyone who has ever left home feels the same way. And yet, look how many have survived it and gone on with their lives. You'll make it too.

(Besides. No rule says you can't call your mom.)
