Matthew 13New International Version (NIV)

The Parable of the Sower
13*That same day Jesus went out of the house and sat by the lake. 2*Such large crowds gathered around him that he got into a boat and sat in it, while all the people stood on the shore. 3*Then he told them many things in parables, saying: “A farmer went out to sow his seed. 4*As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. 5*Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. 6*But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. 7*Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. 8*Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop—a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.

22*The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful.

The Farmer planted good seed with all the intentions for it to grow. We spread the word with all intention for it to be nutritionally supported by God.

I look at my own my life and im sure many others can relate. My walk with Christ produces fruit but nothing like a crop—a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.

How many times do we feel the Spirit urging us to do something but we let lifes worries, lies and selfishness stop us from doing the will of God, or worse lead us by selfish desires down a path where we quench the true power of God.

The thorns that choke me are usually within my mind filling me with anxiety that really does choke my soul.

But the thing we have to remember is what will we let master us, God or self?

1 Corinthians 6:12New International Version (NIV)

Sexual Immorality
12*“I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but I will not be mastered by anything.

It seems to me the Lord still commands you to repent and believe in the gospel, including the nature of hell. You will need to first be reconciled to God before you can teach the reconciled.

GENESIS 3:17. 17 To Adam he said, “Because you listened to your wife and ate fruit from the tree about which I commanded you, ‘You must not eat from it,’[FONT=&quot][FONT=&quot]“Cursed is the ground because of you;
through painful toil you will eat food from it
all the days of your life.
18 It will produce thorns and thistles for you,
and you will eat the plants of the field.

Mat 13:22 He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.

Some may say they have been set free from the thorns, for they have been burned up,but not if they still hold unto the world, which love not the world,or the things in the world, and love to heap money to themselves, and spend money on their wants, and not only their needs, which having food and clothing,be content, and if a person spends money on their wants, and does not help the poor, the love of God does not dwell in them.

In regards to the thorny soil, the word was choked out before reaching it's desired goal, making it [unfruitful]. The word is choked and therefore does not produce a renewed spiritual life in the person; "the anxieties of the age and the pleasures of wealth chokes the message. The worries of life and the delusions of wealth have the effect of stifling the word/gospel, such that the person does not bear the fruit of salvation. *Neither the stony ground hearer or the thorny ground hearer was fruitful. Put a stop to the growth of the word and it gives no fruit (Bible in Basic English).

The potential to eventually become established and produce fruit was there, but the word was choked out before reaching it's desired goal. It (the seed, the word) became unfruitful (produces nothing, proves unfruitful, does not produce fruit, yields nothing), because the growth of the word was choked. In the Complete Jewish Bible we read, Now the seed sown among thorns stands for someone who hears the message, but it is choked by the worries of the world and the deceitful glamor of wealth, so that it produces nothing. Nothing amounts to nothing and nothing was mentioned about it ever producing something. In both cases, faith without works is dead.

In CONTRAST, we read in Matthew 13:23 - "And the one on whom seed was sown on the good soil, this is the man who hears the word and understands it; who INDEED BEARS FRUIT and brings forth, some a hundredfold, some sixty, and some thirty." *Only the 4th soil produced crops of any size.* I suppose the question still remains, "can this forth soil eventually become fruitless?" I have to conclude that if this were possible, why didn't Christ include such a scenario before concluding? There is mention of a difference in the size of the crops, but no consequences or warnings are given to the lesser producers. *Only the 4th soil was referred to as "good ground" and produced a crop (fruit) and there is NO MENTION OF CHOKING OR WITHERING THEREAFTER.

I respect your opinion but more often than not i look through the bible and understand verses from my experiences God has put me through.

Anxiety to me has choked my fruit production many times. I get anxiety and never know when it might hit or if I will be able to control it. If i was to lose control it would turn into a panic attack, where my body out of defense my face turns white and it cuts the blood flow off from my brain amd my breathing gets real short almost as if im forgettIng to breathe. Its hard to explain the Spiritual battles within my mind.

Many times i have created the panic within my own mind just because i didnt want to pass out in public, everyone freak out, i hit my head or face on who knows what, get sent to the hospital, which only makes it worse, they tell me everything is normal, and life begins again. God helps me win soo many times. But so far every two years i experience a panic episode and lose consciousness. Which is great compared to highschool when i would experience 3 a year.

God has helped me win battles and God has helped me in my defeats. But sometimes i let fear make the decisions and put God second.

Sometimes mentally or unconsciously my mind tells the Spirit im sorry what your trying to ask me to do, will be awkward and take me way out of my minds safe boundaries. Where i am constantly building the walls up for defense and God always tearing them down saying Son let me be your defense and offense.

The point is its very possible for Satin to make your mind a prison. I been there and was tormented day and night. I lived in hell on earth within my mind.

I fell into a belief in the past that God wasn't strong enough to help me. But thank God that led me to using what God put on earth to help people with mental issues. God used a secular therapist to change my life.
