If she didn't want to have a baby, she should have been more responsible, they BOTH should have used protection, and even better yet, they both should've kept it in their clothes..

She wants an abortion because she is 20 and does not want to have a kid. She wants to have a career. She says she is totally fine with having an abortion. She believes that her life is as important to preserve as the unborn baby's life.

Not sure what answers you're expecting. Everything everyone has offered you claim she's already refuted. Some people just will not listen. And you can't force or control her. If she wants an abortion bad enough you won't talk her out of it. She's not on the fence and asking you, she informed you of what she already wanted.
Chances are she's going to have to contend with the results if her choice. Many women do regret the choice, but not all. But ultimately it's her life and her choice. You have spoken your peace, perhaps now it's time to stop trying to push your beliefs on her and let her do as she wishes.
And I say that as someone who is against abortion, but it's not our jobs to pressure, force or coerce people into doing the Godly thing. God gave humanity the truth and we have to choose it or reject it. And live with the consequences when we reject it. A good example for Christians.
Gotta agree with Ugly. there is obviously a hardness in her heart on this and she obviously made her decision.
the only thing that can be done is present the facts and pray.
that is how it goes. Only God can soften a hard heart.

She's 20, an adult, so YES it is her choice. It's an immoral choice, but it's her choice, nonetheless. Though she sounds mentally ill, saying that the baby is just a clump of cells.. :/

It's not her choice btw

Here's a novel thought. Tell her the truth: that she needs to stop having sex, unprotected or otherwise, and that she needs to keep her clothes on and her legs shut.. She won't get anywhere in life if she keeps hopping in bed with guys, getting pregnant and having abortions..

i did. she said she won't regret it as much as losing out on the life she has dreamed of since we were kids. she doesnt like doctors and is uncomfortable with her body and does not want to go through the stress of having a pregnancy she doesnt want. I think she will tell her parents eventually. she is afraid they will disown her.

The baby also has a father, a grandma, grandpa, maybe uncles and aunts. That body may be her body, but in it is a baby who has a life and it's not her flesh.
That's murder and she's trying to hide it from the family? She wants to be excepted yet lie to their face about what she's done. Not her choice no matter how old she is.
You can't be apart of the kin if you kill the kin.

Well, the important question is WHY? Why does she want to do it? Did she just reconsider at the last minute and decided that she doesn't want to have the baby after all? Does the father of the unborn child or the parents of either of the baby's parents discourage the birth? Is the baby deformed or abnormal in some way? Was the mother impregnated due to an undesirable situation (like rape)? Or is the pregnancy somehow threatening the mother's life (due to unforeseen circumstances like infection)?

I have seen many harsh responses to this thread, but in my opinion, whether it's right or wrong heavily depends on why the mother wants to consider it in the first place. If an infection resulting from the pregnancy is threatening the mother, then I'd say that it's NOT God's will for her to risk her life for this.

If you read all the comments, you would know that this person is just wanting to use abortion as birthcontrol.

It always baffles me when women I know say "I don't want kids", yet they go out and have unprotected sex and get knocked up multiple times.. It's like "HELLO! Whaddya think is gonna happen if you aren't using any protection"? :/

Not many will read through 25 posts of people giving suggestions. I didn't read them all. I just glanced through the OP responses.

It's not the end of the world if a kid is deformed. They are people too and shouldn't be aborted just because people think they're a abnormal. Those people are blessings from God too, if not more in some ways.
The type of technology today is so advance people generally do survive. Most people don't even go through real pregnancy pain because they're drugged all the way through and the whole rape thing gets used for this argument always but even if a woman was raped still isn't the kids fault. A single parent is better than a murderer.
However having a kid today is sad. Not for the reasons you'd think but mostly because the world is getting more evil every minute. What kinda world is this for a kid? :(
God's still good though.

It's because people are so eager to get it on and have sex, without stopping to use protection.. All that's on their minds is having a romp in the hay..

Not gonna lie: THIS is exactly why hubby and I keep having kids almost exactly 2 yrs apart. For us it's hormonal though lol

I blame media for brainwashing the youth. It's really bad today and God's not in the homes as much anymore.

yeah but hormones don't really know who is married. I've found that, if you aren't ready for kids, when the hormones start signaling, run, don't walk, run. If you stick around you sucked into the vortex and once you're in it, it won't matter if there are condoms 2 feet to your right.
It happened to us prior to marriage and again exactly 2 yrs later and again exactly two years later. I've decided to take a vacation away from the hubby in a year from september.
My point is that the truth isn't taught. Hormones are powerful and when they start signalling people should separate for a little while if they don't want kids.

Tell her parents before its too late. You may not be able to stop her. Fact is you cannot force her to keep it. You told her about the regrets etc. And now you have to shake the dust off of your feet.
Hard to do but its true.

And what do you think she can do about it? physically try to stop this woman from killing her offspring?
Sadly, abortion is not against the law, there is nothing she can do, but present the facts and how she feels and prayer and, if her friend continues to kill unborn children without remorse, she may feel the need to cut her off. knock the dust from her feet.
