I've been seeing alot of trends lately of people, changing hair colors, getting piercings, tattoos, black nail polish(goth/emo) ears pierced with a hole and a plug(both men and women)
so my question is do you prefer staying your original self in appearance or do you like going after some of these trends?
Me personally I don't like certain trends because I think people just simply make themselves look ugly with all the add on accessories,I mean earrings I can understand, fake nails or lashes, but as for some of the ones I mentioned trends seem to dull the mind, because a person seems to think they look "Cool" when in my opinion they look "terrible" especially the hair dye trend I think women look beautiful with their "original" hair color,so I don't see why I see lots of women now getting "new" hair colors, especially the totally made up hair color that aren't original hair colors, honestly if I had a wife like this with any of these trends and I woke up in the morning and saw her with even one of these I'd probably wake up instantly and say"why did you change your hair? it was beautiful as it was!" or a similar remark concerning other trends!
what do you prefer original appearances or trend appearances?

I am myself. For good and worse. I don't even have my ears pierced anymore. I never color my hair. But I do color my eyebrows and lashes. No nailpolish and hardly ever makeup. And certainy no tattoos.

I think we have to accept how God created us. And we should rejoice in it. I have my issues of self worth. But to cover it up with fake beauty does not make me more beautiful. Just fake.

And I hope a would be future spouse would be all natural, too.

Can't say any of this stuff is new. Perhaps you're simply becoming more aware.
Even when I was young I was on the back end of trends. Not s9 good at keeping up. I like tattoos. I have a couple small ones and hope to afford a few more larger ones at some point.
Really a lot of these things don't fit me. Even when I have tried some things it never seemed to fit. I'm a pretty stripped down guy. I have no jewellery, no polish, no hair. I dress simply and comfortably. Probably a bit dated. Oh well.
Now as far as what others do, well, I'm not a big fan of piercings. Ears are fine, men or women, but anywhere else I dislike. Not a fan of faux hawks, scene kids or anything hipster. So current culture drives me insane.

I get you on the piercings and "hawk" style hair, piercings especially nose or belly make me cringe a little because I keep picturing what would happen if someone pulled out the piercing, yuck, and the hawk style hair looks pretty weird to me,I get it takes experience to fix hair to be that way,but really unnecessary in my view.

I sometimes wear nail polish, but if you ask me to wear nose or body piercings, I would straight up tell you you're crazy.

Trends don't express who I am. A modest, low profile does.

I don't add on, I enhance. Lol

I dye my hair, it's completely white under the hair dye. I started to
go grey at 18 when I found my first grey hair.

I think we are what we are, whether we are without any enhancement, or we are overly enhanced to our own liking. The problem with getting into the concept of 'being yourself' defined by not colouring yourself, is a sure way to become someone who judges others based on their appearance.

I mean even the concept of women dressing sexily or alluringly, means that in order to judge whether they are bad for the eyes, you are looking at them with bad eyes or eyes with logs in them? However someone chooses to dress, however someone chooses to look, I try not to judge a book by its cover.

What a fun topic. No, I feel like a poser/wannabe if I go along with the trends, add-ons or enhancements. It's a pride (and defiance) issue for me for sure. Being able to walk the face of this earth looking like myself is good. I feel better focusing on knowing what my identity is and where it is placed :)

I don't like to stand out. I always try to conform completely to not only styles, but also to the thinking of others. You'll notice that even here, I am nearly invisible and totally compliant.

I got a bunch of tattoos when I was younger and in the military. Stupid thing to do in my opinion.

They aged badly because I didn't take care of them and they weren't very good quality. I decided to cover them up with one very massive tattoo that I do like, and even though I was covering stupid with stupid, at least now my stupid doesn't have that pseudo-patriotic, gung-ho, aged nastiness to it.

Other than that, I don't follow trends. I've always stuck out (mostly by my own doing), so I don't waste time trying to fit in by following the herd and their temporary fascinations.
