How to get Rid of Overwhelming feeling I think it's fear. I've had it my whole life and it keeps me from reading the bible or reading anything for that matter. For years I couldn't identify what that feeling was I just couldn't do certain thing's. I've haven't been able to study properly eather my whole life.
I have been beaten up in the past and have had bad parenting my whole life that may be a factor of what's happened to me.

If anyone has any other questions or anything just let me know and I will answer them...

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. - 2 Timothy 1:7

Pray in God for these very things. Seek diligently in him. Call upon him bearing his name and it never goes unheard.

Remember the word of God is our sword, our spiritual weapon against evil. When you feel like this fear stops you from reading the word of God you know why. For in that word is redemption. Strive for this. Do not let them beat you down and stop you reaching for your own salvation that is righteously yours since The Fathers only begotten son died on the cross so you may be delivered from such things through him!

'Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.' - Isaiah - 41:10

So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the LORD your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you." - Deuteronomy 31:6
