Having a crush

I am of christian faith and born again. God has also blessed me with a wonderful loving relationship. I am a young adult and have spend the last 1 month away from home. I have been working and living in a very male dominated environment.

During this time away I found to be attracted to this guy and I know its very wrong and I tried really hard to stop. Nothing quite happenned and I had to duck and hide everytime I say the guy to avoid him. He kept following me too and that didn't help. I have tried to pray and to be open to my other half about the situation.

As a christian how would you deal with this?

Hey sassy83! The crush and the infatuation you feel are so common, I feel it too in situations that maybe shouldn't. I heard someone say once that these feelings are from flesh, not from God. How are we supposed to deal with these sometimes overwhelming feelings as chrisitians? Here are a few Bible verses that might help!
- 2 Timothy 2:22
- Colossians 3:2-5
- 1 John 2:15-17

Flee from any interaction with this person. You made a vow to your husband before God. God does not take vows lightly. If anything has happened between you and this person, pray for forgiveness. Hang in there! You can do it! Listen to your conscience. Eventually, the attraction will go away. Focus on your husband.

^ so true! separation from this guy is the key! once you stop seeing that person, that feelings that you have for him would eventually disappear!
