He (God) turns our mourning into dancing (Ps 30:11)
Praise His name with dancing! (Ps 149:3)
Praise Him with timbral and dancing! (Ps 150:4) ~ should be timbale, eh?
There is a time to mourn ... a time to dance! (Eccles 3:4)
David was dancing before the Lord! (2 Sam 6:14) (Hah! - and David was called "a man after God’s own heart!" In addition, Jesus himself hailed that he was a direct descendant of you guessed it –David’s!)
So those Scriptures tell us the following: God loves to see us dancing! When we are sad, He can turn it into dancing! We are told to worship Him with dancing! There is a time in life we SHOULD dance! So YES! Dance, dance, dance!!!!!
now if you are dancing in a manner that looks like you are having sex on the floor, yes you should stay away from that stuff and keep in mind that it is being viewed by God. set an example of Christ by living it. but as far as just letting loose in a clean way> GO FOR IT!

I agree with the ones above. There is nothing wrong with dancing. I too love to dance myself, and it is a way for me to express a lot of joy through dancing. I beleive as long as you do it in a clean manner, also to glorify God, then it is a great way of expression through dancing. We are gifted in so many ways by God, some are gifted in dancing, music, singing, theater/drama, art, teaching, prophecy, counselling, etc... Everything 'cause of God having a plan in mind for this all, and most of all to using it for Him.

I know the belief. My christian school told me that if you were dancing you'd be expelled but the thing is.
Our modern culture of dancing is dirty dancing. So obviously that was the intention of that rule. Is something wrong with just dancing? No. Is there something wrong with vulgar or sexual dancing? Yes.
If your dancing does not fall between the lines of sin there is nothing wrong with it. Dancing is indeed in the bible

Yes, some dance forms are seen in this way. I beleive one of these types are salsa, tango, samba etc... Still, there is nothing wrong with dancing these types of dances, as long as you do it with a pure state of mind.
If there are some dances you feel as making you uncomfortable, or that can create a dirty mind in you and those around you, then it is better to stop with it, and doing something else.
