As a young adult in grad school I struggle with this on countless occasions. Just because I pray and read my bible each day it does not mean that God will bless me with that A on the exam even though I put many hours into it. I think that many of us have a misconception that God works in some type of mathematical way; do this and this and this result is sure to follow. Though it does work like that on numerous accounts, many times it doesn't. Sometimes we try and try, pray and pray and yet still things dont seem to be where we want them to be. I suppose this is called a trial. Life lesson learnt from my recent trials, keep on pushing but how about seeking God's face (as in a more intimate relationship with him) instead of just his hands (as in always reaching out to him for his blessings). Just a thought.

p.s to all the students out there, keep pushing and dont give up on your dreams especially if it is what God has called you to. It may be hard but he wont leave you :)

whenever i feel too big for my own boots and wonder whether or not God is going to do something... i remember that he is trying to reconcile all of creation to him, the universe itself.
His plan is flawless because He is God, but between the free will of 6 billion people & fallen angels committing acts of the highest douchebaggery, the variables to said plan are innumerable....
So whenever something doesnt work out and it seems unfair, i remember that in our midst is the executing of the most outrageously intricate plan involving all of creation in universal history going on.
Thoughts for the modern Christian insomniac ;)

If God has called you to do it, studying hard and working toward that goal IS following his will :D

I liked your insight. Made me remember that it is not just about me. There is always a bigger picture and bigger purpose.

I so agree Tearsofjoy, we have to just keep pushing ourselves. Even more importantly we should not forget to pray and ask God for help. Sometimes it is shocking to see people do even though they don't believe in God. But God helps them too. We have to keep crying out to Him and be of support and encouragement to each other. Sometimes I need alot of motivation to get things done.

When we pray for exam success our prayer should not only consist of 'help me to pass' but we must surrender it all to Him saying whatever happens will happen for a reason and may His will be done.

Amen. Agreed. and it will be the best you can do in life.

re success.. that relative, I believe that following/knowing Gods word, and prayer...along with your work you mare a success by that alone, and yes, in my experience, you will have great success in what you do as well.

One thing I will never forget is the goodness of God in my life, He put me in the chiristian family who fear God.
I am thankful my parents bequeath my faith in Christ and always taught me a principle that when you grow in the Lord and do what the Lord commanded you, Just Believe, God blessings and When will flow over your life..

and one thing my dad always also taught me how important it is to be responsible for the smallest things in my life began im started school, my dad always reminded me, when you also loved your Lord will give you the best of what you have. And until i left school i did everything well and graduated with the predicate cumlaude. I believe this isn ' t because my capability or results under my own steam but because the gift of the Lord.and when we also loved him with all my heart and sincere then God saw what we do..

I had the - difficult time in my life but passing all the difficult time I can see God's goodness in abundance until then, The important thing is loved the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your strength

be blessing
