Why doesnt christian music give me the hope that positive music gives me?

You are connected to the type of music that you are able to draw hope from, for some reason.

Words, rhythm/beat, the way it hits your mind and heart, when you hear the song, versus someone else.

But you can begin to have other types of music, christian, to inspire you, entertain you, and educate you.

Make sense?

it really depends on the bands. For Today gets my pumped, but skillet makes me feel all depressed and worthless.

yeah its basically what you're into. i know that listening to hillsong will get me pumped up but TOO much of it makes me bored of it. i have to change what i listen to every few weeks for i get tired of it.

Christian music paints a picture in my mind of people smiling, holding hands, extremely happy running through a flower garden.


Rock,Metal paints a picture in my mind of the ups ,downs, highs and lows of everyday life.

I guess it depends on what musical artist you are listening to. My favorite is Ka-Je Projek. Strong beats, strong "everyday life" messages and is better than any music I hear at the gym when I exercise.

There are a lot of great new christian songs out right now. Toby Mac is one of my favorite artists.

I dont no about you but nothing gives me more hope than Jesus, i dont no what kinds of songs u listen to but when i hear songs talking about how God loved us enough to give his only begotten son , or how he placed the stars in the sky and he knows them by name and how amazing my God is it gives me hope that lil wayne, luke bryant, etc cant give me

My Guess Is you have been listening to the wrong Christian songs for you. You are born again aren't you? If not that is the PROBLEM. Just in case, born again is when you surrender all control to Jesus as MASTER, which is what LORD means. We do that because we LOVE HIM. That LOVE for GOD is part of the Free Gift of Faith that we receive from the Holy Spirit.
