Do you believe that evangelism "sharing the good news" is important. Do you tell people about Jesus; listen to Christian music with them. Do you share the Christian message with other people?

The fact that no one answered your post for this long is shameful. Of course we should evangelize! The Great Commission of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:16-20) proclaims to all true followers: " Go out into all the earth making disciples and baptizing in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost."

The Bible is straightforward and blaringly clear about this. Look at the ENTIRE book of Acts. What were those people doing? Witnessing of the Gospel of Christ. It's all through both the New and Old Testaments!

Yes, it's very important. I think most Christians just don't know how to go about it. Christianity has been so sensitized by the the media - portraying Christians as just a bunch of intolerant self-righteous bigots and the Bible as hate speech...this makes it very hard to feel comfortable sharing the Message.

But what's comfort got to do with it? Christ was in agony on the Cross for us...we should be able to risk people's irritation. I find it hard too.

Of course we should evangelize!
But there are lot of 'Christians' that are doing it wrong, thus making it hard for other people to get people to listen.
Also, it seems more and more are building themselves up in their churches like fortresses and not bothering to reach out to people.
They're sending the message to the lost that they don't want them, they're not welcome there. So of course, the lost will never come.
I mean, think about it even on Christ terms. He didn't book a stadium, announce it and just say hey, if you don't make it, too bad. He came to people. He came to them and made himself personable, reached out to them. Why is that so hard for Christians to do that today?

Matthew 24:14

New International Version (NIV)

14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

We will be judges over the works we do for Him. Evangelizing is what longs us to do. People need to know that they can have eternal life!
