I usually get nervous going to the dentist. My old dentist used to rush through procedures such as filling teeth, etc. I remember one time he drilled in my mouth without numbing the area, it was extremely painful. I now have a new dentist which he is a lot better than my old dentist I remember also getting reprimanded by a Dental Hygienist at my old dentist's office for not flossing regularly especially during my childhood years. I still get pretty terrified going to the dentist even now days and now I hesitate to set up an appointment for a six month dental checkup (I am now overdue for my next one).

I know that I may be strange....but I like going to the dentist.
It sounds like you have a good dentist now......make sure they are aware of your past experences so they can make sure you are at ease every step of the way.
Take care

I don't get nervous going to the dentist. I just don't like the dentist. The smell, the tastes, the feelings. Everything is blegh.

hmmmmmmm most don't seem to.....here's my theory......the stench has made their nostrils lose all sense of smell over time....like destroyed the smelling mechanisms inside the nostrils.....hahaha.....like completely obliterated them.........to smithereens............................
