My friends and I were eating out and I shared to them how meeting Christ changed my life and I dunno why but I kinda felt so like sidetracked. Well, testimonies are important tools in our lives as Christians, but how do you deal with that feeling that "oops, should not have shared too much in a pizza parlor"

But deep inside I'm very happy by the way God has changed my life.

..put that 'feeling' under my feet and crash it! Knowing what to say when is one thing, sharing 'LIFE' and doubting if you did the rightthing is absolutely another thing.

THEREFORE DO NOT BE ASHAMED OF THE TESTIMONY ABOUT OUR LORD nor of me his prisoner, but share in suffering for the gospel by the power of God, who saved us and called us to a holy calling, not because of our works but because of his own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began, and which now has been manifested through the appearing of our Savior Christ Jesus, who abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel, for which I was appointed a preacher and apostle and teacher, which is why I suffer as I do. But I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed, and I am convinced that he is able to guard until that Day what has been entrusted to me. [1Timothy 1:8-12]

Hey there. :)

Testimonies are a great way of proclaiming God's goodness and faithfulness.

If you get the feeling that you might be sharing a little too much (i.e. to an audience that either isn't interested or ready etc), my recommendation is to let your life be a testimony. People watch our actions a great deal more than they listen to our words - especially if our what we say is incongruent with how we live. (Don't misunderstand me, I'm not insinuating that you follow the latter)

After all,its the fruit that we bear that speaks the most clearly of Christ's redemptive work in our lives. (Romans 12:2)

But as the previous person replied, dont be ashamed of shining for Christ in all that you do. (Romans 1:16)

May you live in the joy of the Lord all the days of your life. :)

Love,
Muffyn.

It's okay muffin. I've repented many vices I did before and I'm living cleanly with God. Although they still tell me I should come drink with them, party with them. That's where I don't understand it. Cause they know I'm a Christian and they are inviting me to that activity :D (I take it as a ploy by the enemy LOL)
