No, not the way that you first thought. Still straight. But I am tired of hiding behind secrets and mystery on here. So, laying it all out. When I first heard of this site, I was intrigued. Not by the religion of the site, but by the social, political, and possibly psychological import that it has. People meeting from all over the world, and talking face to face via webcam? Amazing! Of course I signed up! The one snag was that I am not Christian. Yes, I am an Atheist on a Christian chat site. The people that know that part about me have grumbled a little bit about how it might be better for my soul to become Christian, but they still accepted it. However, I have not found the courage to come out with it publicly until now. For those that know me, I don't start fights with anyone. I never have, and never will. I will have intellectual debates with you on my point of view versus yours, but I don't look for a fight. I just wanted to get that off my chest, and let people know. If I am banned for being an Atheist, then I feel compelled to just say this. Banning me, for being atheist, and being rather proud of who I am, is just like segregation in the 60's in the South, between the Blacks and Whites. It is just like gays being discriminated against in society, and it is just like scientists were being shunned during the Church's most important days. I hope that people will read this, and not say, "What a stupid child, posting that, he is sure to get banned." I hope that people will think, "Wow, this guy has the courage to say what he thinks in a peaceful way, not harming anyone . . . what a courageous person." However, seeing as I can't control people's thoughts, I don't know what will happen to me. I hope that tomorrow, the next day, and the day after, I will still be logged into here, and still be able to enjoy CC. I hope that you have a good day/night.

If anyone hates on you for being honest, they are not Christians to begin with.

I like when people are honest about who they are. :)

I know what it's like to feel vulnerable in front of all the eyes out there when you are opening up about a part of yourself you fear will be rejected. But be careful not to box us all in as the same. Not everyone is out to criticize you.
Rejecting people who don't think the same isn't what being a Christian should be about. I certainly don't. I hang out on some other forums where the majority are probably Atheist, and some of them are my friends.

then I come here, to the little corner of the internet where it is okay to talk about God and Jesus without sparking an outrage. Different places for different sides of my self. :)

I am curious why you wanted to join if you knew it was a Christian site if it makes you so uncomfortable to be yourself here?

Kudos for speaking out about who you are. Even if people don't believe what you do man, everyone has respect for someone who can stand up and be them selves. It's how leaders are made...

As far as you being athiest, I say that its good! At least you questioning things...

If you are dilligently seeking wisdom and knowledge, it will be revealed to you. If you really are 16, i was in the same spot you are in at your age. Didn't believe in God's position in my life, not that i really ever doubted he existed. It's hard to get around the fact he exists if you spend anytime out in the world.

All i have to say to you is keep an open mind! If you ever have any questions about any spiritual, social, or even cultural subjects, you have a good resource for answers. A lot of different walks of life clash her, and you can always pick up some nuggets of wisdom and truth in here.

Shalom Broseph!

I fail to see the need for this post. Your atheism and non-aggressive nature are two qualities that are rather well known on the forums.

Thanks for not spamming everyone. Relena, I wasn't trying to box you in, so if I made it out like I was, misconception or miswording on my part. Ritter, I had no idea that I was known on the forums . . . and FSU Boy, I was BORN to be that guy!

Just don't make a group, even with good intentions. Macro-management here means leniency and attempts to understand are few and far even if you've been with them for a year.

Ha, you may not be a regular poster, but you made a bit of noise coming in. :p Enough at least to alert the mods. I really don't think they mind unless you start trolling.

Lol, I'm quite amused at the tone of your original post, it sure felt as if it took some guts to post it. I wonder why...
Jesus loves you. :)

Really, Herr, many (not all) athiests that come on this site are aggressive and though they often start out trying to put up a friendly facade, they quick become aggressive and volatile. Thats why so many of them get banned. We have pretty simple rules on the site, athiest or not, follow the rules and you should be fine.
While debates do come up, even among other Christians, this is not a site for debates, but more for fellowship. I'm not accusing you, just giving you tips based off what i've seen, on how an to keep from being banned.

Well, if there is a God, then I will say this: He obviously cut me from a different cloth from the rest of you guys, but it must be similar, otherwise I wouldn't be here. It's weird though, cause I love to study about world religions throughout history . . .

I think of it this way, it would be great if you got saved, but we dont want to ram salvation down your throat
