Now you have to explain what "I am not yet satisfied but I am content" means! :p
The way I've heard it used all my life, I've always thought of "content" as like a "half-asleep" kind of satisfied. Like just settling for what is, rather than basking in what is.

Maybe that's not how it originated but that's how I hear it used. :p

lol i was thinking about that when i found the def online.
well? content is paul's definiton of content in all things.

ok with things the way they are bc of his spiritual stance.
i would google define it but with my luck it will say satisfaction ;)

Well, the definition is, indeed, "satisfied". More or less. But permit me a teeny, tiny ramble, if you will. :D

I personally hope I'm never satisfied, as far as my spiritual walk goes. I want to yearn after more, of WHATEVER God wants to give me. Even if He wants to tell me what I did wrong... if He will talk, I want to listen.

1 Timothy 6:6 says, "But godliness with contentment is great gain."

I think it's talking about material things, being content with physical necessities, because of the verses that follow:

7 For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it.
8 But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that.
9 Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction.
10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.
11 But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness.

Sounds like we aren't supposed to be content with the amount of faith, love, etc. that we have... just the physical things. My take on it, anyway.

two examples of followers of our Lord Jesus Christ who are lying to them self,

1John2:3-4
3 Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. 4 He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

1john1:6-7
6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.

Believe + walk in darkness = fake path = hell (evidence in these verses listed)

Believe + walk in light = fellowship + blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sin = heaven (only if it is our Fathers will)

If you are a follower of our Lord Jesus Christ who came down in the Flesh and our Father the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob, go study your bible and learn what walking in light or darkness even means

Thank you for your time, and have a good day.
