I have to say I feel suicide is murder, but I don't feel right saying that it will straight away condemn you to hell. I mean, Christ died for all sins of all who believe, but still, NEVER should you take your own life out of depression, hatred, hopelessness, etc, just as Paul says, we cannot just should not keep on sinning once we are free. We need to serve God, not ourselves. So, all I know is God knows, and He can't use you here anymore if you die... You might be an inspiration and light for many some day. The thing is, one shouldn't ever commit suicide, no matter how hopeless life might seem, but as for condemnation, only God can be sure. Never attempt it. Think of God who loves you and wants you to live, that's why He sent Christ after all, and focus on God and serve God instead. God bless! John 3:16, Romans 6

Nope. Suicide is one of the most greatest sins. God doesn't allow it.
I certainly don't believe God wants any of us to commit suicide, but to say it's one of the greatest sins? I need to see that written in scriptures.

People do it all the time so God must ''allow'' it.
do you know what you just represnted? that was the most unintelligent thing ive read/heard in days and thats saying somthing......

small children are sevearly " abused " all the time also when you see it that way
that doesnt mean its an "ok" thing to do

ust because we are capable of an act does not mean we are encouraged to do it
certain things are absolutly wrong
the it exist is mundane

why would you need this explination?
its such an easy concept i feel like im typing angrily to a 4 year old

sorry to insult but seriously?
wow

A lot of the posts up to this point have assumed a certain amount of mental clarity on the part of the person who commits (or thinks about committing) suicide. We cannot forget that in many cases, mental illness plays a role. Sometimes bodies break and sometimes brains break.

My hope is in a compassionate God.

No, never... He will never want to see his children destroying their life. Satan is the one who discourage people and provoke them to suicide with suicide thoughts. I have came across those bad times.. but God saved me before i do anything stupid..

are you kidding me?!?! of course God doesnt allow suicide!! it's taking one's life. may not be someone elses but its YOURS! God created you for a reason. he loves you and it would be such a shame to let that go. i actually saw something a while back that had peoples stories of dying, going to heaven/hell and then coming back. there was one story where a young girl probably around my age or a little bit older took her life with a bullet. shot herself in the chest.. she explained her death to be as if her soul left her physical body. she pretty much explained it all to be like going through the ground almost? idk its kind of hard to explain considering i saw it like 2 years ago and it was showing an example of what she was saying. but anyways she said how she was in hell and people were being tortured and she was... even though it was her spiritual after life, she felt pain. like no other. obviously in this life we are living now our bodys can only take so much. but in the after life its VERY different. she expressed how she felt her bones breaking but she was still there. it was like no escaping the suffering. demons doing awful things i dont even want to mention.. then she said how God came to save her and told her he was giving her one more chance to live, to share her story. that it wasnt her time to go yet. some how the bullet missed her heart and she ended up living. so yes suicide is wrong.
