Also, I want to make another point, and this is something I have had to learn through the years, that when talking to a non-Christian about Christianity, don't try to convince them about things such as the age of the Earth or science is wrong or anything like that, because that minor belief could become the barrier between them and Christianity. Yet, there is a verse where the Bible says that Jesus should be the only barrier to Christianity. If they can't accept your views on the age of the Earth, that shouldn't stop them from becoming a Christian.

I just want to clarify something said above. The Bible says humans were created 6000 years ago, since the genealogies seem pretty detailed, but that doesn't necessarily mean the Earth is 6000 years old. I don't want to start a silly debate on the different interpretations or anything, just pointing that out.

How many days did God wait? It says he created the heavens and the earth in the first day.

I don't know, a dead guy walkin' around three days later.. talkin' donkeys, demons, angels, eternal life, heaven, hell, seas being parted, etc. etc... I think 6,000 years for the age of the universe is only a small jump.

Apologetics is a means, not an end. Don't treat it as an end.

Got is not bounded by time, that's the point. God never WAITS. No one can say how long in HUMAN standards it was because God is an eternal God. And as I said above, it's not crucial to agree on this point for salvation. So, therefore, to argue about this to a non-Christian who thinks science is fairly accurate may cause them to quite seeking God because they can't accept your view on the age of the Earth. Who cares how old the Earth is? Jesus should be the ONLY barrier. And I also said I didn't want to start a silly debate.

I just avoid talking about religion with atheists. You cannot really convert anyone in any case. If they ask, I just say I like my faith, a lot. Ask them about "Occam's Razor", the most basic concept upon which to judge scientific theories. If they have not heard of it, then figure they are clueless about science from the get go.

You know, sometimes I argue with them. I find Athiests to be extremely religious about their views. Other times,I let them rant and rave. I find it quite curious that a group of people will argue and debate over something they said, does not exist. ..lol..anyway..there are some apologetic websites I would recommend you visit. They will help you. One of them is the creationresource.org it will give you more then enough..come back..ammunition.

You need to start learning what is called: Apologetics

Apologetics will help you learn to defend Christianity at an intellectual level.

Ehh, but some sites(carm) don't help at all and make you look even worse to atheists. Make sure that you go to a GOOD apologetics site.

Hello sometimes i get asked questions and most of the time there are like scientists HAVE fully proven evolution and that Darwin was a christian but conviced himself from the evidence that god doent exist etc and how old the world is and that the bible isnt proof of existance , what do i say to people without getting angry ?

Some questions are like ive suffered all my life and was a christian and had faith etc but i was only happy when i became an athiest......

What do i say to these people?

A: evolution doesn't disprove god b: you can't use the bible as proof of Christianity c: I'm Christian, not atheist
What you should say is that evolution doesn't disprove god and if trying to convince them, not use the bible as evidence. You should also not be telling them they'll go to hell if they aren't Christian, as that makes you look like a complete jackass.

they do ague over something they say they don not believe in why why does the christian faith and the Cross bother them so much cause a part of them knows its true its called the Moral Law,Gods Creation 2 they are surpressing that Spiritual Truth.They have heard Jesus Call thier Name before andchose not to respond we chose to respond amen.....

I choose not to debate the issue with a confirmed non believer. I could quote all the scripture, attempt detailed analysis, witness of my own experience to prove Jesus is real. However, if someone has made up their mind Jesus is not real then throwing pearls before swine or giving what is Holy to dogs seems fruitless. At those times I recall what Jesus said to Peter in John 21:22' "If I choose them to remain until I come, what is that to you? Come, follow me."

2) I believe Sola Scriptura and Tota Scripture, thus I will not limit the use of scripture to one book. Rather we are to take the whole counsel of God's word. I will not violate God's word in the way you are asking.

12 His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear his threshing floor and gather his wheat into the barn, but the chaff he will burn with unquenchable fire.”

Ok, I guess, what I meant by hellfire preaching is this"become Christian or go to hell" not "god created you, therefore he deserves your repentance, and if you choose to follow god, you will be with him in heaven, and if you don't , you shall be sepereted in hell" and yes, I do agree hellfire preaching is misused a lot.
