I just think it would be absolutely traumatizing to go from your first kiss to losing your virginity on the same day.

if that would traumatize you perhaps its because your view of intimacy is flawed

1 Corinthians 7:2 Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.

The word fornication translates into the Greek word, porneia which comes from the Greek word, porneuo which means: to act the harlot, that is, (literally) indulge unlawful lust (of either sex), or (figuratively) practise idolatry: - commit (fornication).

When you want to kiss, you are lusting after that person.

Matthew 5:27-28 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

The way these verses in Matthew were written, it could be applied to a woman lusting after a man.

it would be a beautiful thing to see that ive never heard of that but i see absolutely nothing with that in my sinful days most activity would always start from that and truth is lustful thoughts can come from kissing. So if you cant control your lust and kissing strikes the match then i say refrain and aint nothin wrong with that

Hmmm... I don't think that a kids necessarily means you are lusting after someone. I do know some people who had their first kiss in front of 500 people, and it was beautiful. It was honorable. But I don't think it's absolutely unscriptural. Love does not equal lust. List may accompany it but they are not one in the same. I want to kiss someone I love. I kiss my mom. I'd kiss some of my friends. I'd kiss my brother. I'm certainly not lusting after them. Affection isn't wrong, and I appreciate affection. However, it can be a very slippery slope if you lock lips simply for lust.

It's just my view and the facts of which I get it from. (and I wasn't talking about kissing family)

Sorry, if I came off that way Fighting, but it wasn't meant as an attack. For some people kidding may definitely be a precursor to lust. Everyone is different and there's no shame in that.

Jordache, read over your earlier post again (#46). There are only several spelling mistakes to be found but they change the message of your post quite a bit. Thanks for the laugh. :)

Yeah, my smart phone is apparently not so smart and I'm a bit impatient. :)

That's okay. Just wanted to make sure you understood I wasn't trying to force my view on anyone :)

I wish I had saved my first kiss for marriage. I have decided that I will wait till my wedding day to have my next first kiss.

i know someone who goes to a super strict hardcore church and it was something he had to do save his first kiss for marriage which is sooooooooooooooooooo risky that it could go wrong in front of EVERYONE, like not even through wedding rehersals and everything, not until the words " you may now kiss your bride" was announced was he to kiss her in front of everyone for the first time.
while it didnt look as bad as the video that follows where he literally eats her face! hahaha it was till rather awkward. but if thats how some people want to go just like the guy i know then its up to them , its their lives and wedding they can do whatever they please but for its not for me.

Haha! That was super-awkward but brilliant. You can tell by their over-eagerness that they've never kissed before.

I didn't save my very first kiss, but I wish I had. Instead, two years ago, after having only kissed one guy, I prayerfully made a decision to save my next kiss for my husband on our wedding day. I made the decision between me and God, and no one else. I wasn't following any fads or trends.. in fact I wasn't even aware that saving kisses for marriage was a "thing" people were doing. It just came from a heartfelt desire to honor my future husband, and more importantly, God. Also, to clarify, when I say kiss, I mean kissing ;) You know. The type of kiss that makes you want to do more than kiss. I'm not opposed to the types of kisses that I share with my family (affectionate pecks on the cheek or forehead). I had just learned through experience that kissing stirred up extra temptations that I didn't even want to deal with in any potential future relationship I had, and I also learned just how intimate and precious a kiss is, and I wanted to save that for the man I'd spend the rest of my life with.
Fast forward to just a few months ago and I began a relationship with a wonderful, godly young man who not only accepted my desire to save my kiss for the altar - he wholeheartedly agrees and supports it! He says that the way I guard my heart and my body is one of the things that admires about me. So to any young ladies who think they'll never find a guy who'll agree to be in a relationship that doesn't include kissing, take it from me -- there IS hope! :)
Finally, I'd just like to clarify that I know this decision isn't for everyone. But for me, it's working, and I'm very happy!

I have yet to kiss. But that said, I do not plan on saving it for marriage. I plan to date only when I have marriage intentions [I do not date for fun]. Thus, I am planning on saving it until then I guess, as I do not go around kissing random people. Lol.
