I dont know if i agree with your actions taken about the plot of AC2 because youre missing out on 3 which is amazing. I never let fictional stores like the ones in video games really affect me though
Seconded.

You have to remember that AC is simply a piece of good story-telling. It has more to do with being against the holders of power. Some conspiracy theorists would consider it more pro-Christian in that sense. According to AC lore, Jesus and the early Christians were executed by the Templars (the blokes you kill in AC2).

None of it's real. If you play the game actually accept the premise that two human orders have been killing each other for millennia, there is no hope for you.

That said, I haven't played AC2, nor do I intend to. I bought it because of the Revolutionary War theme. That and John de Lancie plays the protagonist's father. SCORE!!!

Speaking of AC's, I really miss the Ace Combats of the PS2. Four, Five, and Zero were so well done that I cannot figure out why Konami didn't stick with the Strangereal world or simply build another. Assault Horizon was such a bad move...

Games like WoW can be played responsibly, I can tackle video games, work, church, and everything else included in life, WITH video games in it. It's just a matter of the person and responsibility. I think video games are a better entertainer than bad friends can be...if you're a teenager maybe. Helps keep you out of trouble. One star for promoting video games from me.

Whereas you underestimate your ignorance on the matter
I know people who have gone to rehab and won't recover because addiction to illegal substances has crippled their mind and body. Did I mention their drug of choice was heroin?

I once played too many video games. My worst problem as a result was that no girls would go out with me from when I was 13 through around my 16th birthday. Whoop dee doo.

There is a huge difference. If myself and others were able to easily kick the bulk of our gaming habit and lead productive lives, then it doesn't hold a candle to drugs; illegal or legal.

LOL NewLuke! A lot of the folks on here think you're a troll, and you're not helping by being sarcastic. I don't think you are a troll, but I mean it's like you're trying to change my mind.

Ritter, you have to understand where Luke is coming from.
He's 16. The worst he's seen is people that play too many video games.

He has no way of knowing how bad drug addiction can be.

LOL @ the things people say.....

Anyway I have wasted a large majority of my life on MMORPGS..WOW being one of the major ones. I don't really care for single player games.
I have kind of grown bored of them at this point replacing those games with online chatting.

I know! I never let games affect me either, but watching some videos on it affected the whole way I play it, and It just didn't seem right...

Come on, Minerva talking to you, calling you her prophet? Doesn't that sound weird to you?

well its a video game...its not real. I mean come one did you skip the God of War series because it contained the greek pantheon and the whole basis was deicide? These games are meant to be off the wall. They are fantasy or science fiction stuff. Nothing wortht the time to take so seriously though. And if you though assassins creed 2 was weird just wait til you play the third one...if you decide to.

Again you're making uninformed assumptions about me. You don't KNOW what I know, or what I went through before I got saved.

If that bothers you so much, then you should be willing to afford others the same courtesy instead of working off similar assumptions.

I made a general comment about video games, with the best of intentions. Now I can't help it that the gamer community here doesn't appreciate my comments. The main difference between what I said, and the assumptions that were made about me is: MY comment wasn't directed at someone personally and, since I do speak from experience, it was very well informed.

Really? Is it really from experience? Have you held your little brother while he's shaking from heroin withdraws? Or watched one of your best friends almost die from alcohol poisoning while you force feed him water and bread to wake him up? Have you knocked out a guy while he was on coke trying to rape a girl? Because I have

And let me tell you there is NOTHING comparable to someone who can't get off their lazy butt and stop playing video games, and someone with a real drug addiction problem.

Now back on topic, Skyrim... fun game.

It's great how stuff like this comes up. My gf and I were just talking about this. My response to your question is, Video games can be used in the wrong way if you let them... For example, if you play the killing games and etc.. they can be very misguiding and cause a insensitive type of reaction to certain real-life events. It's like anything else, even movies... It's as simple as watching movies with a lot of bad language, the more you watch them, the less it's going to hit you when you hear it in real life. Me, personally, I try to guard my ears from people talking bad so, when I hear it in the movies, it effects me more that what it would to someone, "even Christians" who are used to hearing it. Hope this helps you. God Bless

Skyrim was fun to play. Nord here. Alias: Sternchild.

My favorite house is in Markarth. I ambush the Thalmor on sight.

I have not decided if I want to join the Imperials or the Stormcloaks. Then again, I have a few months before I can play it again.

I'm sorry for that brother. But trust me, I went though enough, and saw enough misery happen, I just don't want to talk about it, too personal.

back on topic, I don't like games.
