Skyrim was fun to play. Nord here. Alias: Sternchild.

My favorite house is in Markarth. I ambush the Thalmor on sight.

I have not decided if I want to join the Imperials or the Stormcloaks. Then again, I have a few months before I can play it again.

I joined the Imperials. The Stormcloaks' accents just made me mad haha
My favorite house is in Solitude, really nice. I wanna get the DLC for Dawguard, seems interesting.

I actually laughed at the comparison. It's like comparing the risk of driving on the highway to purposefully slamming your car into a concrete pylon.

My weakness is Sci-fi with deep meaning and a well-told story. That and strategy.

The real sin is in the time played that you could be devoting to something else, but then if you are going to do something purely recreational and want to be immersed in something, you're really no worse off seeing a movie. There is potential for addiction in anything.

There is no convincing me that video games make the average person more aggressive. All the evidence is purely anecdotal, and the reputable studies that have been done concluded as much.
What sci fi do you like?

Hey everyone Thread starter here!

I was just playing assassins creed 2, and it seemed a little anit-christian to me , I did some research...

DO SOME RESEARCH ON THIS GAME (Google assassins creed ending and go to youtube)

From what I found, anyone who played this game loved it for that reason: That it takes stabs at Christianity 0_0

I looked up the ending and some other things about it, and the Roman goddess Minerva or something like that is talking to Desmond and there's something about being her prophet, and so on...

Needless to say I've already deleted the game and do not plan on playing any further.

Some of you are right when you say the devil seems to have control over these things, and that they are evil.
Might sound stupid, but it frighteningly true. The devil after all is the greatest deciever, so he can make anything look harmless...
I think I'm done gaming for the rest of my life... Scary...
Lol I played assassins creed its the Tron/scientology version of christianity its weird...

I bought dawnguard it didnt seem as good as I thought youre really just going to areas put into skyrim not a whole new area like the new dragonborn DLC coming out. I must admit the crossbow you get is fricken awesome especially if youre a stealth/ranged character like me. Its only 10 dollars on steam its certainly worth 10 dollars.

I dont know if i agree with your actions taken about the plot of AC2 because youre missing out on 3 which is amazing. I never let fictional stores like the ones in video games really affect me though
I tried playing AC2 and I couldnt get past the tutorial where you had to race your brother to the clock tower.... after losing like 10 times I accidentally found out you could sprint in the game. When I started sprinting I kept running at walls and jumping backwards on accident... lol

LOL NewLuke! A lot of the folks on here think you're a troll, and you're not helping by being sarcastic. I don't think you are a troll, but I mean it's like you're trying to change my mind.
I dont think hes a troll he just watches a lot of media that pumps fear into his mind probably.

LOL @ the things people say.....

Anyway I have wasted a large majority of my life on MMORPGS..WOW being one of the major ones. I don't really care for single player games.
I have kind of grown bored of them at this point replacing those games with online chatting.
I tried playing World of warcraft for about 30 minutes I had a super big muscular warrior guy and I got killed by a stone tusk boar. When I tried to explain this to my friends they kept thinking I was talking about a super strong pig with minatour legs and what not when in reality it was just a regular boar :(.

Again you're making uninformed assumptions about me. You don't KNOW what I know, or what I went through before I got saved.
Let me guess you were a stone cold assassin that would say a prayer for every victim you killed until you took your last assassination job so you could have enough money to leave the business and start a new life.

I used to play games a lot, and would still love to, and eventually will again, but now im busy finishing college. They are indeed addictive, especially multiplayer with friends. Games are awesome, not evil. But when you have important things going on like college you really should stop playing or else your grades will suffer.

But yea. I like simulation games, flight simulators, strategy games, role playing games, etc. And yea I played a lot of call of duty in my time. That game is just win.

Hahaha. The Nords are kind of goofy. Scots, Brits, Norwegians, Austrians, and Americans all appear to be viable Nords. :p

I'm likely going to join the Imperials so I can fight under Colonel Tigh, hahaha

The Mass Effect Series is my favorite, followed by Fallout.

I either play those or the Total War series if I ever am found at a gaming console.

Currently on my first and only run through ME3. If any of you played, no spoilers.

Thats the whole reason why I joined the imperials. The only good imperial to me is the guy in the start that helps you escape.

I would tell my children if I had any, to spend that time in the word, and edifying the body of Christ, then defending and contending against the onslaught of false teachings infiltration the church today, most video games are vile in nature, and you must abstain from all appearance of evil, and have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkenss, come out from among them and be seperate, show the youth of today you are serious! obey God and His commands.

I agree with this so much, but at the same time these games are so tempting... argh!
