Hey guys, I'm new here on Christian Chat. I'm 22 years old and moved to Colorado about 6months ago. I grew up in Jamaica in a Christian home, I eventually moved to FL at the age of 14. By the time I was 17 I had completely strayed away from God. Two years later I got pregnant. I did a lot of things that I shouldn't have done, but because of my horrible, hurtful experiences it lead me back to God, I cried and he answered. I felt like He was calling to me to get away from the confusion. One of my best friends was stationed in Colorado Springs Air Force Academy. I prayed, fasted, and He gave me confirmation. Myself and my 3 yr old moved to Colorado with insufficient funds and He completely turned things around. I'm now enrolled in Colorado Technical University and things are great, still have struggles but it increases my faith.
Being the outgoing, need for excitement person I am, I started a website called http://www.DivineYoungArtists.com . I realize that as Young Christians there really isn't much for us to do. Yes, we go to Church, Young Adults/Youth Ministry, Singles Ministry, Movies, etc. But what about a hang out spot?? I had some friends who backslided because according to them they were bored. Well God didn't give us unique gifts and talents to serve the World and what the World wants to hear and see, but to serve Christ with the gifts he has given us. To serve Him excitingly, with Joy and happiness.
I joined Christian Chat, because I tend to have a very hectic lifestyle, I still haven't really met a whole lot of people in CO, really because of schedule. I hope to meet people from all over, good Christian friends, who are on fire for Christ, who I can learn from and vice versa. We all need a support system, especially when all our old friends don't care to have a relationship with Christ. Please if you have a life impacting story that you would like to share to world, contact me.
