Why do I care what the lead singer of KISS does? I've never been to Vegas and I don't go to strip clubs.

The point most of us are trying to make is--what relevance does this have on the music itself? I don't listen to rock'n'roll because I want to get high and have an orgy. I don't automatically think that hedonism is okay just because some musicians that I may be a fan of have engaged in it.

I was just trying to figure out what you were asking? You don't have to get all defensive about it, did I ever say you wanted to do drugs and be a part of an orgy? no.

Dude the Bible says to have nothing to do with stuff like that!

"Walk not after the heathen"

Are you trying to tell me kids do not try to be like their idols?

You have responsibility for what you listen to is a promotion of you.

If any man be ignorant of this let them ignorant as Apostle Paul said.

Take thou away from me the noise of thy songs;for I will not hear the melody of thy viols. Amos 5:23

Hey I have a thought for everyone.
Is Christian Rock and Roll, Hip Hip, Rap, R&B ect. All the genres that we have taken from the world of music and Christianize are they God honoring?
Should we only listen to old church hymns that we hear at our Grandmas church that we had to go to from time to time?
What do you think?
I think the argument against Christian rock/rap is kinda crazy. many of "Grandma's old church hymns" are very modern in comparison to ORIGINAL Christian music. Many people have a very distorted sense of time haha. Even classical music was the new "in" thing at some point, yet most colleges will only allow classical music to be played in their music departments and totally reject most other types of music. I find the same to be true for many people in the Christian community

beat to his song cause the beat was awesome then i played it in my church my cousin used the cash money millionaires lil wayne song and changed the lyrics

around with Jesus and used there beats as well the whole church cheered they use there old song you understand it was a huge success everyone loved it

A song consisit of music and lyrics. What is sinful about music? Nothing. David played a lot
of music and danced also.
2Sa 6:14 And David danced before the LORD with all his might; and David was girded with a linen ephod.
2Sa 6:16 And as the ark of the LORD came into the city of David, Michal Saul's daughter looked through a window, and saw king David leaping and dancing before the LORD; and she despised him in her heart.
David was cutting loose. Says he danced with ALL HIS MIGHT.

Psa 149:1-5 Praise ye the LORD. Sing unto the LORD a new song, and his praise in the congregation of saints. (2) Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King. (3) Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp. (4) For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation. (5) Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds.

Praise is from the soul. Worship is from the spirit. Praise is a joyous loud occasion. He wants you
to put effort in it. What makes songs bad, are the lyrics. You take the same music of a rock
song, put Christian lyrics in it, you got a song prasing God. If it makes you get up and
dance before the Lord with all your might, the Lord will be happy. Re-read Psa 149:4 (above)
again. It even says sing loud while in bed. The problem we have today, if we do this, then
it looks like the world. The world does it for itself. We, on the other hand, need to let loose
and praise God full out, because its for Him. David didn't back down when his wife thought
less of him. We need to rediscover how to praise God. It needs to be something you can
put your heart into and get you jumping. Jump and shout praises to the Lord.

Isa 55:11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Just have faith.

Every kind of music can have satanic content, I think it's just for prejudice that many people define Rock & Roll like a satanic music style. I've heard pop music with a content that is worst than many rock & Roll songs, it all the depends from the content of the song and by the band who sing it. Music is a gift of God, it's man who make a bad use of it, so rock & roll can surely be used for His glory.
