I know it's not very likely, however I was wondering if anyone went to the Passion 2013 conference in Atlanta, Georgia from January 1-4?

There were 65,000 attendees, so it's possible that someone that frequents this forum went, however I don't know exactly how likely it was.

For those who haven't heard of it, it's a conference for ages 18-25. I don't know what the policy for posting links is, I haven't read thoroughly on that, but it had speakers such as Louie Giglio, Beth Moore and Francis Chan as well as worship by Chris Tomlin and others.

I think I enjoyed small groups and community groups the most.. It really was a lot to process as it was a non-stop thing.

One of the main goals was to stop slavery. Not many realize it, but there are over 27,000,000 slaves in the world today. Over 200,000 in the United States.

I'd go on, but it's 3am and I need to get some sleep. I haven't stayed awake this late in a long time!

I have friends who went and are still very excited about it. I'm glad it had such an incredible impact on you as well. :)

Awesome that they are calling attention to the human trafficking issue. I support a group called Abolishment International, founded by Christian recording artist Natalie Grant. They are doing amazing work.

Cool. I knew there had to be -someone- else that had heard about it on here.

I went knowing that it was going to be pretty showy with the worship, which isn't what I went for. I didn't want the 'high' that came afterwards, but except to be enriched by the experience.

I think I enjoyed the speakers (Francis Chat was good) and the family groups the most. :)

I didn't attend that one, but I attended one years ago. I was barely 18z. If just moved to Los Angeles and I met a woman there. She brought a friend who actually manifested demons...scared the stuffing out of me! (That was the nicest way I could think to put it;). But I prayed for both of them and delivered a word to one woman. Years later, when I first joined FB, I got a friend request from a stranger. She messaged me and told me she was the woman from the passion. I had no idea what she was talking about. There were thousands of people there. She then shared with me how the word I'd given her about 7 years prior had actually been fulfilled.
