God Bless, eveyone. My personal opinion, dear. I am a result of an unyoked relationship that led to nothing but denial and heartbreak. After knowing the guy ∕all my life, and being with him for bout 5 mnths, I was convinced and tried to persuade my mom and my aunt(who are Christians and were not in favour) that I could change him. They were never happy about my relationship, but they love me, still, so they left me alone, to "deal with God".
Anyway, before we got together, he fully convinced me, what he needed was a Christian gf, and he needed to redirect his life. All too much of a fairytale for me- I love the guy, and plus, he wants to follow Jesus.
Well, after 5 mnthd, he never came to Church, and yes, dragged me in a hole of sin with him, bound in all sorts of temptation and lusts- it was very contagious; his worldly influence on me.
Now I love him, but I love God much more, and Fear Him. The direction I was taking would prove pointless to turn around and minister to him about God, when I let him see how I dishonoured my faith, for Sin.
So, I left, because I realized my family was right. It is Impossible to be in a relationship with a non- believer. Try to minister to them as a friend. Because if you are not strong, Spiritually, in your walk with God, it is very easy to get yourself entangled in Sin. My mom used to say to me, "Do not expect to be close to God, if you make the Devil your father- in- law". What she meant was, by being with a NON- beliver, I was letting Sin and the devil into my life. Darkness cannot dwell in light, hun.
Do I miss him- I'm human. Didn't I know better- yes. But we always believe we were placed on this earth to save the "whole" World. The lord knows them that are his.
Since then, its been a few days since I have fully let go, and my human flesh misses him, dearly. But I find comfort in the Lord, since I have repented and received the Lord back into my life.
Please save yourself the pain- because a break up is Not easy, and get out, before its too late. I listened to the Lord, and left that sinful relationship behind, and have learned to Never again compramise my faith, in any effort to persuade and unbeliever.
