Have you ever felt that random urge to break down due to something wrong with the world? I'm not talking about depression. I'm talking about things that make you feel so burdened that it will not escape your mind. Lately, the issue of sex trafficking has overcome my spirits. It is not just a burden of "I wish this would just go away." It's an "I'm angry that this is going on yet hardly any one chooses to do anything about it." For a while, I've had the blessing to be burdened with human trafficking victims across the world. But I understand that I cannot solve this problem on my own. For a while, I ignored this burden and put it on the back of the stove on simmer hoping that someone else would take care of this problem. But yesterday was different. Yesterday, this same burden was re-awakened...and it is different then before. This burden is on fire and I have the desire to change it now. I know I have to give this burden to God because without him, nothing is possible. Today, I've been on the edge of a spiritual breakdown because it has been so heavy on me. Last night, I made the decision that I cannot ignore this call anymore. I have to do something about it. God does not just give you burdens to do nothing about. He puts them on your mind for a reason. Last night, I decided that I'm going to go to England within 10 years or so and work with human trafficking victims there. I know that it will not happen until after I graduate and after I have my school debts paid off but I acknowledge it will happen very soon. I need your prayers though. I have literally not been able to function today because this burden has felt very heavy. It's been difficult for me to focus in classes lately and focus on my work. I want God to use me for this!

It's great you have the desire to serve those in need. Ah! The wonder of youth, to be able to look ten years down the road in a positive light. In ten years, I'll count myself fortunate if I'm not wearing adult diapers and I'm still able to wipe my own backside. :)

I'll pray for you Rachel, for sure. But just a thought, He might want you in USA also, there is a large problem with sexual trafficking from Mexico and even domestically. I'll pray for His will to be done in your life! -JIM
