I know just how you feel! I had been a main line Christian for years, my kids and grandkids are Christian, but when I learned what wonderful principles of God there is in the OT it was SO exciting. I found out what God was teaching the Hebrews through the different sacrifices He ordered, and how they relate to Christ. I found out why God told the Hebrews about what foods to eat, and what that means about what God's principles are. I went through many history books to find out how our Christian church developed after the gentiles took over, and read all the results of the first 1,000 years of the church councils. It was so exciting and it all brought me closer to Christ. I wanted to share! I was always turned away. I was ordered not to speak of any of it. That order still stands, Grandma is not allowed to speak.
At first I cried. I was learning such new things, I needed help, too. But now, everything has settled down. I use my knowledge of God best I can on Christian Chat, but mostly, I and the Lord talk together in a more intimate way. If I could have talked to others, I don't think that would have happened.
Today, I and one of my pastors who had turned me away before had a long talk. He could finally hear me and respond for the first time.
Honestly, you can just take things as they are, and trust God with them. I don't know how God does it, God seems to work in different ways for each of us, but God makes everything come out for good when we love and trust Him.
