I need prayers, the enemy is bombarding me with thoughts I can't explain. Lord your my rescue give me the words and verses to speak to use as a weapon. Despite of this im happy because I know I will be victorious, because the battle is not mine it's Yours

Hope everything is alright, John. Praying that God gives you the power to fight back, as He has to me many times.

Hey John! What are some "truths" you can say to the enemy to combat those lies?

Shoot me a PM! I'd love to help you!

What are these thoughts? have you considered that it may be a mental illness that is causing these thoughts?

TheAppler...oh, so it can be 'just a mental illness" that is causing this? wow..is that an excuse or a way to deal with it? Have you ever considered that 'mental illness" is a devil's toy? I manage a homeless shelter and deal with 'mental illness, bipolar, and all kinds of this modern labelling daily. And after being labelled as such, most people will choose to continue to stay that way..after all..most get free 'meds' to cope with it. I see people who were not born complete, due to having drug controlled parents, I see and live with people who are victims of accidents who no longer have full mental abilities, etc. However, JESUS is a Healer, the Holy Spirit is our Comforter and I've seen the power of faith and prayer work miracles. When we pray "Thy will be done ON EARTH as it is in Heaven"...it has deep roots. Take a look at heaven. Are people walking around with headaches, crutches, and mental illnesses? God would have NONE perish...and JESUS saves fully, not partially...it's not a matter of "IF" he will heal, it's a matter of God's timing. ONe way or another, GOd's own will be healed beautifully and completely. We have to understand that sometimes, it's not instantly. It took 12 years for the woman with the issue of blood to reach out and touch JESUS. Some people, fully alive in CHRIST and on fire for Him, will be healed in heaven when they get a new body! I question: "How can we spread the gospel of CHRIST if we are NOT mentally able?" We can't...we cannot be effective...it took old king Nebechaneezer 7 years, living as an ox, eating grass, before he was healed and changed. My brother-in-law, a younger Christian who had a heart of gold, suddenly lost both of his arms in a farming accident 2 years ago. Now, he is a very bitter, angry, and as far from GOD as he can be. He does not attend church anywhere. I have tried to introduce him to another man the same age who also has lost both arms, but is alive, vibrant, owns and runs his own business and is a joy to be around. Seems to me, it's a choice...an attitude...JESUS says that it's FAITH that makes us whole.

Renew your mind by reading the word of God. When ever those thoughts try and consume you, pull out your bible and start reading whatever book you see fit. Soon you'd start to realize those thoughts fading.
